Isn't he saying that all those plans are still there if the other writers want to use them, if they wish? It's just that he won't be writing it.
He tries to reassure us and yet...
The other writers didn't want to use those plans when he was Head of X, why should they care now? They want to write like 20 more issues about XENO.

I'm glad one of us is absolutely privy to what the other writers wanted/did not want.

Is Hickman still Head of X, I’m so confused about his role at Marvel.

If I’m reading this correctly, his official involvement with the X-Line (including being Head of X) is done once Inferno is out. That being said it seems like he’s played an active role in planning what the future of the line will look like once he leaves. Of course those plans could also change, but once we reach 2022 his name will no longer be attached.

Damn, I would have love to have seen the Galactus, Phoenix and Phalanx stuff he was planning. I can’t imagine any other writers being able to write that as big as he was wanting to go

I'm getting a Director-turned-Executive-Producer kind of vibe. Irreconcilable differences on the creative level, but things were civil enough that his name would still be attached to the project in the short term for the sake of protecting the IP.

So Hickman is basically Bendis lol all build-up no climax or ruined climax.

Naw fam, Hickman will actually write depth and purpose to characters, and give them meaningful narratives that often ties into a meaningful story. The X-Men office has nobody on the shelf with a portion of the talent to deliver a story that's creative and entertaining. Why Hickman was not given directive and overriding power with the rest of the writers only goes to show how lacking the office was and what the future holds for X-Men book franchise.
