You can really feel Johns' excitement about the series in the interview. I'm actually really looking forward to this series.
it was the first title he worked on for DC, clearly has a special place in his heartspace

Feels more like a young adult, family oriented show from ABC. A standard CW Stargirl show would have an older looking actress, early 20's to 30's, and everyone would be super model hot. Including the extras.

Already want to watch but can they stop the teasing and give us a premiere date already.
I want to watch as well. This character is very important to John because of his sister so it will be good quality I think.

Finally, a premier date!
Glad we finally got a date.
I read that there will be extended episodes on dc universe so that makes me wonder if the dc universe show is going to be a bit more mature in content and language and the cw is the edited pg version. Either way there won't be a huge difference between them most likely. I think this could be really good for the show as a whole. I have dc universe and the difference in quality between their original shows and the cw is very noticeable. While I like the cw shows they play more like teen soap operas and the set quality is less appealing, while the dc universe quality plays closer to a series you would see on HBO (this may be to budget).

I don't see them as intending for Stargirl to have adult material, either way. I would guess they'll just shorten some scenes for broadcast timing - a line or two, maybe an incidental scene that doesn't really factor into the plot or just reinforces characteristics they've laid out. Just my guess.
