I’ve come to have a preference for the battle skirt, it harkens back to Greek and Roman soldiers uniforms, and it just makes sense to me that Diana would wear something along those lines.

She shouldn’t have to choose just one. One of the things that made Carters Wonder Woman iconic is that she had multiple looks. Why can’t Diana wear pants sometimes and trunks others. If I had it my way, Diana would have a whole closet stored inside her bracelets and could spin into whatever she wanted.
All of them at once.

Superheroes need a main look, its part of their identity and helps public awareness, althought there is nothing wrong with alternative costumes
My vote is for the battle skirt
Doesn't she still have the leotard under the battle skirt?
Batte skirt.
Battle skirt.
We also have the bicycle shorts and flowy skirt.

Wonder Woman has been around for 80+ years and has worn all of the above at some point without anyone having trouble figuring out who she was.
^ not into either of those classic looks. Carter somehow pulled off the skirt but personally, I really prefer the Perez look. Bike shorts are ugly.
The faux-Roman battle skirt Gal wears is silly. It is shaped exactly like the panties but supposed to provide more coverage *eye roll*
DC turned against briefs/panties years ago but I still like them best, on Diana, Clark and Bruce.

Don't forget the loincloth from KINGDOM COME. I'm partial to trunks but I think Wonder Woman should have the women's lib to wear a thong if she so chooses!

Yes she used all those looks, but one at a time, not simultaneously
I'm not saying your ideia is bad,I can see It working, but she needs a default look

It was never a skirt, but culottes...
Umm, wasn't the very first look she ever had a skirt? It's there on the cover of Sensation Comics...
New Frontier-style battle skirt.
Umm, wasn't the very first look she ever had a skirt? It's there on the cover of Sensation Comics...
The cover does that give impression but Peters' artwork in the issue itself and later issues it's more clear they're baggy culottes.
