Well in a year when fan reaction and critical scores are making or breaking movies this can only be a good sign.

Incidentally, I just posted on this forum a theory regarding the different cycles of existence for the Asgardians in the comics.

I hope that Hela doesn't end up being a "one and done" villain. That'd be such a waste, both of a character and actress.

Why isn´t Cul trying to stop Malekith´s mayhem across all the realms ??
Because it doesn´t fit Jason Aaron´s "grand" plans ??

if those spoilers are true then it sucks balls.

apparently, Thor: Ragnarok will be disappointed for us fans.
I can't believe that Thor, both in the comics and the movies, sucks.

Does anyone know what happened to the whole Loki posing as Odin scene from Dark World? Thor thinks Loki died but is posing as Odin. And then in Dr Strange he asks for his help in dealing with Loki. Am I missing something somewhere?

Because he is the God of Fear, and by instilling fear in Asgardia he holds onto control of his subjects. It suits him for everyone to be scared. By being scared they are worshipping him.

I have always loved those hero shots of Thor almost hanging over the city. What is interesting is that this sequence may be part of the ongoing narrative rather than what I was expecting, which was a backup story.
I imagine this particular composition is hearkening back to this one:

From Thor #271 - Wein/Simonson/DeZuniga - the last panel from the Len Wein run. (You can spot a goodbye on one of the buildings below)
It is interesting that this particular panel sat over the blub for the next issue "The Day Thor FAILED!" which was a teaser for the following Roy Thomas issue 'The Day the Thunder Failed' a Ragnarök story which followed on immediately with another of these poses above the city this time by Buscema/Palmer.
I am pretty sure Simonson never returned to this particular composition in his own run. The closest he got was a side-on shot in #341. Which I know I posted here a few years back because it is one of my all time favourite panels in Thor. So here is a thumbnail:
