We have to remember Feige praised Singer over X-Men : Days of Future Past and what he did there. I sense that Fiege will approach things with a way of , ok no way can we make sense outta the whole insane timeline reboot Fox did . But we can move forward and see what is next. Doing a reboot slows things down because we have to reintroduce mutants and that element into the Marvel film universe . (And given that they plan to introduce the Eternals....well...)
I get that they'll likely approach Lawrence , Mcavoy , and Fassbender. The rest of the roles will get recast and they go with possibly other X-Men perhaps.
I think the chances of them keeping anything from the Fox years is 0. It is going to be a complete reboot starting from scratch with none of the old cast.

I remember after the merger was accounced Chris Hemsworth and Sebastian Stan asked Hugh Jackman to return as Wolverine. You never know.
Yes, but one can be subdued to another, right? I mean, it's a possibility that Disney will prioritize Feige's ideas. At least before Marvel Studios and Marvel TV used to have a decent interaction, if I can say that. If Marvel TV keeps messing up, at least something will change.
I don't see when they ever had a decent interaction, and certainly not since Perlmutter and Feige fell out.
But messing up how? They had just the one, single turkey: the vanity project that was Inhumans.

Praising something and wanting to incorporate it into your own universe are very different things.
And I think starting fresh will be a LOT less work than trying to fit the square peg that is the Fox-verse into the round hole that is the MCU. They're incompatible on very basic levels.

Jackman might be willing to do one single more film as Wolverine for the novelty of being in the MCU, but no way is he doing another 10+ year stint.
-
might as well keep it separate for now, and actually ongoing. Just cherry pick a few mutants to be in the MCU. You certainly can't include all of them, not realistically.

This. Let's remember Singer also directed Apocalypse, so basically the amount of good he did to the X-Men Universe equals the amount of bad.

We don’t know if he considers Apocalypse bad but he doesn’t consider it great. He called the X-films Deadpool and Logan amazing.

I don't think so. Jackman went out on top with Logan and very few actors get to do that with a character. I don't think he would return for another go. Plus the man is almost 50 and I'm thinking he would not be interested in having to get in "Wolverine" shape again at his age.

I always assumed that they wanted him back as a cameo for Doctor Strange 2 or something that deals with the multiverse which has already been mentioned to exist in the MCU.

Archive footage should do the job well enough. Worked for Deadpool

At this point, the most we’d reasonably get is something like his cameo in first class.

This. I can see him doing a cameo at most in some multiverse stuff, because I also think that Jackman's Wolverine, although a success, is also a symbol of the Fox X-Men, and I don't think Disney would like to be more entangled with it by bringing him back to have an active part in a MCU movie, doesn't matter how small that part is.

ooh, I am in a very small camp (population: 1) that doesn't want Jackman back. I appreciate all he's done but burn it all. Believe it or not, we can find someone better..and shorter. lol
