Getting Redirected
Keep getting redirected to fake Forbes site that promises it can double my IQ. I'd have to halve it to fall for its pitch. This happens even on Safari on iOS and it's a pain because it's not a pop up, it actually takes me away from the threads so I can't read them.

Hey Shawn,
I've not been able to recreate this issue on my side yet, but let me know the following:
-- Is this happening on a computer, tabelt or iphone?
-- What country are you located in?
-- Does it only happen on the CBR Community or on the main site, too?
-- Can you post a screen grab of what you're seeing?
We'll get to the bottom of this.

On my iPad. To get here just now I had to get past a very aggressive redirect to a site called video stripe, that happened twice in a row. And once to a fake site made to look like Discover magazine.
I'm in the U.S.
It happens on various forums here and on the forum index. I hardly ever go to the news pages.
I'll try to grab a screenshot.

I've been getting this sporadically, as well, on my iPhone.

Glad it's not just me!

I was having that problem but I seem to have fixed it by setting my browser's cookie handling to "Allow from Current Website Only" and then cleared my cache and deleted all stored cookies. Not being redirected now.

It's been fine for me for days without doing anything. Looks like they zapped the bad ad. Thanks, guys!
-
It was some ad being served via Google. Another Web site had the same problem and found this thread and kindly dropped us an e-mail pointing out how they found out who the offending advertiser was. SHOULD be all fixed.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention!

Awesome! I was happy to not have it happen to me the past few days.
-
It happened to me on Safari on Saturday 1/4. I do not remember the site I was redirected to, but it thankfully stopped a day later. And thankfully no viruses this time either.

I am getting redirected to fake doc oz or forbes as well
Using PC and IE

I've been getting redirected simply by scrolling the CBR forum pages. PC and Firefox. Been happening for the past couple of days.
-
It's back for me, too. With a vengeance.

This is what I got just now, though I've seen other ads as well.
