The colors kinda match the bird.

I could get behind that.

I was thinking of bird-themed names recently and stumbled across the fact that Amalgam Comics fusion of Tim Drake and Jubilation Lee was also called Sparrow.

Am I the only one seeing Nite Owl's color scheme in that shot?
I'm definitely getting a Talon kind of vibe. But it the colors work (brown/gray or silver/gold make a good combo). It's just so, so very busy with all those lines. Simple is better, guys.
The codename is kind of going to be the telling thing here. It's either going to sell the whole package or just make it collapse on itself with all the nope.

No, you're not. I though of that costume too.
But that costume had more brown than yellow, so it's not exactly the same. And I definitely think that that red stuff showing up from under his right arm and bo staff is part of his costume too.

It would have to be, Naomi's costume doesn't have any red on it. So unless it's somehow from Conner, I would say it's part of his hip/belt area.

This 100%. It's really what I hated most about the New52 redesigns for everyone. From Flash to Green Lantern and even Superman... everyone got 'busy lines' scratched all over their costumes. I really don't see little kids drawing these costumes in their notebooks at school... Simple and streamlined for the win. Don't make it complicated JUST to make it complicated. That's how we end up with 90's pouches!

It would be cool if Nite Owl at some point was an inspiration to Tim during Doomsday Clock. It's a great name that should be carried over and Doomsday Clock would've been the perfect time. Plus it would kinda fulfill the idea Chuck Dixon had years ago about having Tim take over as the next Blue Beetle.

Hmm.
You might have something here...

Oracle. He was the computer geek and hacker among the Robins.

I wouldn't mind Sparrow. But this new design definitely needs a cape. Dick has no cape. Jason wears a jacket. Damian has a cloak. So Tim should have the cape out of the four.
It is also very busy. Sometimes less is more. DC seems to like overcomplicated designs for some odd reason.

Looking at the outfit, I think the only problem, (besides maybe the overly busy lines) is that it's kinda just begging for a nice yellow symbol in the center of the chest to lock the whole design into place, especially with the way those yellow chest lines point towards and draw your eyes to the center.
I reckon it would also help with the color issues. The color combos of grey, brown and yellow are fine, but yellow should be the primary, eye catching, color of the piece, not brown, which unfortunately feels like its taking over the entire color balance of the outfit. Brown should be the neutralizing color of the outfit, to just slightly offset the vibrant yellow, not the centerpiece color, but in this outfit, there's not enough yellow to break up the solid slabs of brown, something which, again, I think a large yellow chest symbol could help with.
