WWE right now is at a peak when it comes to inconsistency. Kairi and Asuka were chasing until they fell off the face of the Earth for a couple of weeks and finally made it back on TV just to chill backstage. Chasing is a bad idea when the company's creative is winging it week to week. Just give them the belts of that's the Endgame.

Nothing for Naito who's the current intercontinental champion?
-
Ah, so Ibushi beats Naito again in the finals, eh? Starting to wonder if Naito will ever sniff the title again.

New Japan put him in Nakamura's spot. I doubt he will win the world title again.

The Japanese kayfabe mags and their DIRT SHEETZ seem to think it will be Sabre vs. Ishii or Naito. The early rumor was Jericho but he pulled out and the Japanese DIRT SHEETZ say because he was promised a long initial AEW title run and a blowoff with Omega.

Naito can work. Nothing wrong with that. Props to him for taking Nak's spot.
-
It just feels like it's a bit early to put him in Nak's old role, IMO. If either EVIL or SANADA had broken out like Okada did, it'd make sense. Hiromu seems like the only one that's come anywhere near Naito's popularity and he's been out of action for a long ass time.
Just to clarify, I have no issue with Naito getting put in Nak's old role, I just feel like it's a bit too soon for it.

I think the reason they haven't been seen is precisely because of planning. If they have a show in Japan, they probably want to save the Kabuki warriors match for Japan.
Asuka & Kairi should not be "chasing" the freaking IIconics.
And they need a big win soon after their booking.
They have yet to beat anyone on the main roster yet, have they? They haven't even decisively dealt with Mandy and Sonya yet.

They beat Mandy and Sonya.

Have they lost to anyone?

Wrestle Kingdom 12 was Naito time and they didn't pull the trigger. He got passed over to give Kenny a lackluster reign only for him to bounce. They really dropped the ball there.
I can Sanada has it in him to break out but he's unmotivated half the time. Shingo will definitely be a top guy. He was one in Dragon Gate and confident he can reach those heights again in New Japan.
-
Speaking of Dragon Gate, have you guys seen Pac's last few matches?
A dud, a botchfest, another dud, another botchfest, and carried to a good match.
Something seems off with him.

Turns out Sami Callihan actually was fired from MLW and it wasn't for spitting on Jim Cornette as he lead people to believe. The company fired him for causing $3000 worth of property damage to the venue in his falls count anywhere match.
