You know either that is a real vulture or I wonder if Victor got the jump on Disney and was making some robotic creatures. I think it is funny that Doom has chess pieces made of the FF themselves. The Eaglemoss company has some very nice chess pieces with Marvel Heroes and Villains. Doom was the Black King but you had to subscribe to get it. You can find them now on eBay of course.
And I did get that reprint issue a while back! They were called Milestone Editions. And I was able to get an autograph from Stan Lee when he appeared at C2E2 in Chicago in 2015. If you wanted a certificates of authenticity though you would have to pay an extra fee in addition to the regular fee. I was happy just to get the signature. The one thing I regret is that in retrospect, this was probably at the start of that controversy about some nefarious fellow taking advantage of him. Stan did look very tired. I remember at one point they did have him go off and rest for a while. . But they said not to ask him any questions. There was a separate session later where you paid $200 IIRC for admission to one of the many event rooms they run at the event.

I thought Savage Avengers #9 was a pretty good issue, Doom shows he can be both ruthless and strategic. Stephen Strange owes Doom big time for that save. But at the end ...
"Next: Ouroboros!"
Again? It is interesting that the writers are sharing this across titles, but if they keep doing this soon it will be meaningless. Time will tell.

Savage Avengers was a surprise for me too. I've not read much of Gerry Duggan's work but I think he is doing some interesting things here. For now he has jettisoned the original team and we have the trio of Doom, Dr Strange and Conan. I admit the addition of Conan to the present world sounded like a goofy idea that wouldn't work but he fits in well in this arc. He can make the comic about these three as far as I am concerned. We'll see how Doctor Voodoo fits in now that he's been rescued. We will have the current and a former Sorcerer Supreme plus Doom, who is unofficially next in line if one were to accept that his status is the same and there has not been another Trial of the Vishanti.

Cronin writing about Doom again. ;)

Brian Cronin's articles are about the only ones I read on the front page. I complained about them getting pushed down so quickly by the click bait ones but there is not much to do about it. I really miss the old front page for that reason. They always kept the links for columnists in a special section. The Shelf Porn column left CBR for that reason IIRC. I used to drool over the fantastic set ups people had for their comic book swag.
I see Brian pointed out the scene in Infamous Iron Man I was thinking of. I know Brian May of Queen was able to get his doctorate years later. I think if you do your required paper or whatever you can get them without attending the university. He has a doctorate in Astrophysics as I recall.

Agreed. I'll always read a Cronin article from time to time, but my favorite was Hannibal Tabu's weekly reviews for comic books. And now even that has completely disappeared without any explanation. :(

Congratulations! A wonderful achievement. :D

Doom is a favorite topic for Cronin. The only time he overlooked Doom was when he failed to give him the 50 years of Doctor Doom treatment he gave the FF the year before, so I made two threads in the old board, one about the Women of Doom and the other about favorite Doom covers. You remember that Iron Maiden?

I remember the one about the covers. I will have to look up the Women of Doom one to see who made the grade! I do remember that Brian forgot about Doom's anniversary because I was watching for it. I don't think Marvel made any notice of it either but they did other tributes.

Yes, I used to read Hannibal Tatu's The Buy Pile too and I think I found his column somewhere else just recently. But I don't think he does one for CBR anymore.

Your response is greatly appreciated, Iron Maiden. :)
Thanks to you, I was able to find where The Buy Pile is now located.
Not sure if it's alright if I should mention the website's name, since it might be a competitor to CBR.
But thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

You're welcome. Google is a wonderful tool ;) I also like to view the reviews by the Professor Bill at Comicbook University. I prefer text reviews because you can go through them faster but I do like a reviewer that is a Doom fan
-
Thanks. I'll check it out when I have time. Hopefully, you'll let me know if there are any other comic reviewers you feel confident in recommending. :)

I do like to go to the Comic Book Reviews Roundup to get all the reviews that they have linked to there. I like to see a consensus of reviews a lot of times.

OMG! This is exactly what I've been looking for. :D
Seriously, this really means a lot. T^T
My sincerest thanks, Iron Maiden.

You are very welcome. Most of the time the consensus of reviewers give Cantwell's series high marks. I like to read the various takes on the issue. Sometimes they bring out things I hadn't noticed.

An AMAZING custom commission sculpture. Lots of images of all the details here:

And a description explaining the throne.
A private commission work i did..
I was constantly interrupted, but finally is done... Here it is a small description of the piece:
I think that a Throne must be, as important as the main character ..
At the Top, we see The devil Mephisto,
were his hornes intersect,
creating a vortex to hell.
Mephisto has 2 different expressions, excited and disgusted,
because of what its just bellow him.
Thats is, an angel and a demon, representing good and evil...
Below the two, falling on a slide, are many skulls, representing the humanity,
that always falls no matter what in to this 2.
At the end of each slide.. we see Life and Death, that carry
with the burden, of the same cycle that we as humans are.
Since V,V Doom is always dealing with morality and sense of honor,
he is conflicted by duality, but always choosing for the evil path in the end..
The big Candles represent his faith on each side, were the good side candle, is almost over,

Apparently, the artist made more than one copy of this, as there are a couple on eBay, including what looks like a bootleg copy.
