Me too. The dinosaurs weren't scary at all, but when those Sleestaks slithered out and hissed, I was hiding behind a pillow.
Oh yeah, definitely. And especially at the end of the show's intro when that T-Rex turns to the screen in an extreme close-up and roars.

I remember one episode where the dad is electrocuted by some of the crystals in one of the Pylons. That scared me silly.

I was never a fan of HR Pufnstuf. I wasn't exactly scared of any of it, but every time I saw HR, he made me think of the alien Chromoite in "The Mice" episode of Outer Limits.

I'll admit Andre the Giant when I first saw him as Bionic Sasquatch freaked me out and terrified me!
Although by the end of the episode pII and they become friends, I loved him! And wanted the action figure so bad.

The sleestak's music was also very unsettling at times-LOTL had an interesting mix of banjo/country style with a mix of electronic music, with the latter much like Doctor Who at the same time.

Real ghostbusters and extreme ghostbusters had a lot of spooky episodes.
Surprised no one said these three Disney movies--
The black hole ending and those blades that kill people!

Some have seen a connection between Black Hole and Event Horizon-derelict spaceship with no significant sign of the crew (but many clues that they had a bad end), mad scientist, and a black hole that's a gateway to heaven...or hell.
Although the latter of course is definitely NOT for kids in any form.

Did "Event Horizon" have a floaty murder-bot with spinny knife hands? Cuz that was cool...

That was a scary scene but when maleficent calls on the powers of hell and turns into a dragon is much scarier. it even hits you more as that was the climax of the movie. its odd though that Disney cartoons are not scary anymore. Many people have anger towards Disney for dumbing down marvel and star wars but the worst reality is, Disney dumbed down their own animations. the life action where Angelina Jolie's maleficent is a good person is even a worse dumbing down than an animated movie like Frozen.
Ah yes, she turns into a dragon and says a *bad word*! That was freaky!

Return to Oz is brilliant IMO. I didn't see it until probably a decade or more after it's release, but what a great movie. And very scary, which it should be.
Great mixture of Land of Oz and Ozma of Oz books.
