From the article on the new book (linked above):
Those who read the previous Moon Knight run by Max Bemis will recall some big developments in Spector's personal life, as it revealed that one of Spector's other personas struck things up with Marlene and they had a daughter, Diatrice. While it won't be something that this series focuses on, Marlene does eventually have a role to play in the series.
"While it's not something that's going forgotten, it's not a thread we're going to be following right away. In good time we'll learn how Marlene responded to the aftermath of the Age of Khonshu," MacKay said.

Ha, I don't remember the Bemis run but I liked it. Time for a reread. Since I haven't read anything positive about Jason Aaron on CBR in years I skipped Age of Khonshu. A long time ago I liked his Scalped, though.

Thanks for posting these pages as I fit the description. Not actively reading Avengers(I trade wait that title). Although I did read MKs appearance there which I hated and felt was wholly out of character so the fact this new series spins out of that makes me go UGH a bit.
The cover options also looks AMAZING!

Soon some glimpse of the book. :)

If the cover art on this and the variants is representative of the main costume then I stay stoked. The cape and cowl is the only main way to go for MK.
Sure, Mr. Knight has his uses as does Lockley but in the same way Matches Malone would for Bruce Wayne...that's not the iconic look. It is not the most fear inspiring to those you would seek to defeat.

I believe its the case here. The guy has one of the best costumes in comics, in my humble opinion of course, and that's the way to go.

This is Moon Knight. A mercenary turned to the side of good. One smart enough to know he can't be Spector out in the open, that guy is known to law enforcement. He adopts disguises or identities if you will and makes in roads to the elite. Where "white collar crimes" might come to his attention. Then not ignoring the everyman he is Jake Lockley the cabbie, getting the scoop on street level offences the locals don't take to the cops but whisper with those they trust.
The mentally unstable DID retcon of Spector will never be acceptable to me and the more Marvel can push away from that the better. Crazy white guys with violent streaks not on meds or lock up doesn't play well if you've not seen the news the last few years.

I always assumed Moony's identities were a twist on this:
