Boone needs to go. Should have never been hired.
L.A. moves on after a 2-1 win over the Giants and will face Atlanta in the NLCS.
Game one of the ALCS (Boston-Houston) is tonight.
Just got an alert from Bleacher Report that the Cardinals fired manager Mike Shildt. Damn, that was sudden! The team won a franchise record 17 straight games to make the Wild Card game, and Shildt got the chop? Wow!
Wait? What? I got fired!

Reads more like the Dodgers move on to a bye week before the World Series
It may or may not have affected the outcome but the check swing call that ended the game was absolutely blown and it wasn’t even close, that’s multiple clearly blown calls that were non reviewable in only the first round

It was a really bad call and its amazing the ump had the balls to call that, at that point in the game. I don't know if it would have made a difference but sheesh.

I have to think this was personal more than professional. Maybe this guy has skeletons in his closet. Or the owner just hates him.
Tough loss for the Sox last night. Those Houston bats are strong. Todays game at 4pm is a big one. Go Sox!!!!

That was a tough loss. I'm really pulling for the Sox here.

I am hoping Eovaldi can throw a great game today and even the series.

It was Cora's first misstep handling the bullpen this post-season. Sawamura hadn't pitched in nearly a month. I get why he was added to the roster for the round, but he needed to knock the rust off in a low-leverage situation before throwing him in the fire of a high-leverage situation like a close game in the eighth facing the meat fo the Astros order. He was only able to find the strike zone 7 times in 16 pitches because he was rusty, not game ready. Houck and Robles just got beat, but Sawamura wasn't ready for the situation he was put in and created his own jam by not being able to throw strikes. Wrong time for him to be on the mound when there were other options.
