I'm pretty excited for these spin-off series. It's like the 90s amalgam comics all over again.

Not really. 90's Amalgam was combining Marvel with DC, this is Marvel combining with itself.
You know? I know it wouldn't be as much interesting, but in a reboot of the Amalgam comics, I can't stop to think that it could be more "appropiated" to combine Marvel and DC's characters who are actually copies of each other. I mean, just think about them:
+ Superman: Hyperion, Sentry, Sun God, Blue Marvel.
+ Batman: NightHawk, Moon Knight, The Rider, Black Panther.
+ Wonder Woman: Power Princess, Thundra, Ms America (Chavez), Storm.
+ Green Lantern: Dr Spectrum, Quasar, Dr Spectrum, Photon (Monica).
+ Flash: Whizzer, QuickSilver, Boundless, Blur (DP7).
+ Martian Manhunter: Skymax, Captain Ultra, The Jovian....

True, but it's as close as we'll get!
How could you forget the biggy, Deadpool: Deathstroke.

I don't dig Stephen Roger's head on the cover, it looks too small and the beard and 'stache doesn't improve things.
But I like that he conjured a personal Shield of the Seraphim as what it looks like to me.

I know that, but they were combined In "Access Total"; while in the Amalgam Universe, Diana and Ororo were two different characters, and Ororo is the one who became "Wonder Woman".
In a reboot, I believe it would be more appropiated something like this: We combine Ororo with Nubia (the african amazon who shortly was Wonder Woman) and Diana with Power Princess (Zarda).
Sorry for double post.
Any idea about who was merged with Dr Erskine in this story? And what was merged with "Hydra" when the doctor said "Hail -----"?
I wasn't sure whether I was going to pick this up but I'm glad I did. It was a fun issue with several clever bits from Duggan and nice Kubert art.
Nothing essential, I'd say, but if you have a thing for amalgamated characters, it's worth checking out.
