So, Wolverine family berserker rampage coming? Better be...
Yes, but didn’t Jordan say that several mutants got catalogued during Necrosha.
Theres been several inconstiences said with what has and hasnt been shown and I think its to cover up the editorial issues that people point out.
She called herself a former assassin in the letter at the end, she was not; she was trained, yes; but was never actually an assassin.
No blood on her hands, no sins to atone, no forgiveness needed.
Yep. It was literally spelled out with the Eye of Agammotto that Gabby still had her innocence, even if it was a little strained.
Then the handbook is wrong.. as he’s listed as a current member..

Then again, it also says Warlock is former (was this before they before everyone knew he was back?)
Also it uses that stupid ass Max Eisenhardt name for Magneto. That alone makes me question the whole book lol… (yes, I know, multiple writers, etc etc)
Hand book isn't written by editors or x-men writers. They only consult on it, it isn't 100% accurate. So thunderbird is still dead
And how will the family react to the news that Rahne handed Gabby over to Farouk?
Why they expect a bunch of villains to not go into their past ways, IDK. Rahne should have known better.

Rahne is terrible. I really can't believe they abandoned kids to irresponsable new mutants and they thought it was ok for villains being on Krakoa

I'd find it interesting if they called back to X-Force where Logan tore into Laura for failing to protect/save Rahne from the Purifiers, and Laura later allowed Rahne to tear her APART in response.

Its not being directly addressed, but she is clearly going through something mentally. She had to deal with the trauma of dying, being brought back and being denied her child. Not all characters have come back well adjusted and everyone assumed she'd be fine being around the rest of her friends but the toll of not having her son is causing her to crack. She's not well and needs help. There isnt really anyone in her group that can relate which is causing her to feel distant and misunderstood even more
Obviously forget about it while being zealously mad at Xavier

Yea I understand she is going through a tough time, but if she's not making good decisions like this she shouldn't be in a teaching position. Even this deep in depression, she should have the foresight to be weary of who she trusts. Gabby trusted her as an authority figure and paid the consequences.
then again, rahne's track record as an authority figure is already bad, considering she dated Elixir while he was a student...
Are we all sure that it was Farouk who killed Gabby, and not... someone else?
It could be a misdirect but he wouldn't be the first villain going back to their old ways. *cough* Selene *cough*
There are no other villains in New Mutants right now. The last time we saw Gabby she was being left alone with Farouk. In this issue we see him telling her she won't mess this up for him before he's done with the other kids. Not only is all the evidence on Farouk, but there is no one else it could have been.
My guess is he tried to make it look like a suicide, probably through mind control and having her write that note. He likely also made her write that she didn't want to be brought back, which may be a source of further debate. Anything to divert suspicion. The biggest question is just what would it take to kill someone with a healing factor or to make it look like someone with a healing factor killed herself.
Wow this was an emotional rollercoaster. Vita really has a firm grasp on the beats of each character and writes with so much emotional depth. The feelings of betrayal and abandonment seem to be the big theme here, from Wolfsbane and the team, Gabby and her "friends" and Warlock and Doug. We all saw Farouk from a mile away and yet his treachery is still heart wrenching (what a great villain).
Also, Karma has been pretty frisky as of late, flirting with everything in sight. She needs a girlfriend STAT!
