Seems like she's gone through some changes since last we saw her, though. Could be she's absent some of her old power set.

Yeah, like how her powers didn’t work on Storm. Something she was going through that the X-Men saved her from was probably either prepping her or weakening her.

I'm assuming that since she'd been held captive by Orchis for an indeterminate amount of time, she doesn't have full access to her advanced COTV technology. So I'm not expecting a black hole bomb or anything too fancy
I'm just hoping that Hickman remembers what made them so appealing
Yeah maybe that's why she running away from Wolverine, maybe she can't pull off the same trick again. Thinking about it, since the story takes place in Ecuador, maybe Serafina is heading to the old Sentinel Factory that Nova used and where the Children of the Vault hid previously:

Does anyone know if the factory still exist?

Good preview. I've never been a huge fan of the Children of the Vault. I like the concept, but I thought it was never properly fleshed out. I get the sense that it was just one of the many plots that fell to the wayside as the X-books got caught up in other major Marvel events. But I still think they have what it takes be compelling. It's just a matter of fitting them into the right story. Maybe this is that story.

Silva and Garcia: Bringing the S-E to the X-MEN.
For real these two make purest magic. I canNOT wait to see how they handle Everett's aura. <quivering>
Only getting for X-23. However knowing Marvel it's going to be an over-hyped side plot and her team will only make a minor appearance of little consequence.
Woof Debbie, how Down CAN you go?
yay! actual good art!
Would I have preferred Silva on X-Men from the get go? 100%
Do I think the first few issues were lacking by his absence? Most Definitely.
Am I willing to let all of that go to see Silva & Garcia's SYNCH? OMFGYASSSSS

The fact that Serafina is so far from home, which is the Corridor and that she is all by herself frightens me a bit. I hope that there is nothing wring with the rest of the Children of the Vault....
-
Oh my, this will be grrrreat. God bless my countryman.
-
Yeah its official Hickman needs a better artist if this series is going to work longterm. Silva's work makes Hickman's work pop!
-
Its proof positive how ART is ESSENTIAL to the success of the story. Art ELEVATES.
Damn Serafina issue!
I was hoping to get to see some Synch here in the preview
Same here/ But as usual for me, no-show on the characters I wanna see & too much Wolverine in the process. lol
Ah well. Hopefully Synch is in the issue a good bit (and brown).

There's something about seeing a Mike Carey X-Men creation being used in a big way that puts a smile on my face. I've loved Serafina since her first "scene" in Nogales, during Supernovas.
Now just gimme some Perro and Luz, Hickman.
I loved Carey's run back then, great stuff. And a good time to be on CBR too. X-Crescence back then was the tits.

We never saw the raid on the Orchid research facility right? That happened before and we are just dropping into this?
We never saw the raid on the Orchid research facility right? That happened before and we are just dropping into this?
It was in issue 1. Cyclops, Storm, Magneto, and Polaris raided the facility and they discovered the captured children of the vault person.

Thanks for the preview. Amazing art! I wish all the X-Men run had this artist since the start till its end. Yes, I am dreaming.
