I liked how Nygma escaped the electric execution from that crazy lady.
Edward and Oswald friendship remains one of my favorite things about this show.

Factoring in the way they are playing it, there could still be more to it. Probably not, but it seemed worth pointing out.

For me it is also Jim and Harvey.
Was Hugo Strange channeling George Takei or something?

I was noticing that too. Trying to remember what BD Wong sounded like when he was on Law & Order: SVU.

Very clinical and unemotional he would had been a good Vulcan well a good classic Vulcan not the current Vulcans.
One theme I'm beginning to see with this season is just how much the various Bat-villains are not only interacting, but essentially giving rise to each other - pushing each other beyond their usual criminality to give rise to the ultimate villainous versions of themselves. The show seems to be making a major case against the whole "Batman created his villains" theory - they were already crazy and escalation came when they began fighting among themselves. They will then be able to show Batman's arrival as definitively making things better, rather than worse.

Exactly. Without a Batman and his compatriots, things would be worse, not better.
Somebody get Jim Gordon a cigar.
