Some would argue that "must win" situations are wholly justified in football which is (now) only 17 games long. Unlike baseball, basketball or hockey, NFL teams don't have the luxury of one or two months at the start of a season to stink on wheat before turning things around, in football, if you stumble badly out of the gate in the first few weeks, chances are you won't recover, especially if you're in a division or conference with powerhouse teams. Still, to go ballistic after the first week is patently ridiculous.
I can see some must wins. Like the last 5 or 6 weeks in a division game, or maybe the last 3 weeks of normal games. No way should anyone talking heads, coaches, fans be talking a must win in terms of how the season will go in week 2 3 or even 4. And a must win for a team that wont even come close to sniffing a playoff spot this season? Nah im not on it.
Well, for teams in the NFC East, their best shot at wins is against their inter-division rivals! So there is your must win connection. The NFC East has so much "parity" right now that it will likely come down to a big complicated mess of who beat who, come playoff time.
That said, I think WFT will beat the slightly more hapless Giants tonight, and then lose by 30 points to the Bills next week. But its ok because the Bills are not a must win, lol.

I get that, but as someone who plays fantasy I get where it brings a lot of casual fans into the games and spreads awareness of other players beyond their home teams. For example, in baseball I play fantasy (more fun and in-depth than football, and I'm a much bigger fan of the sport of football) and while I've watched a handful of Red Sox games all year I know the names of minor league players on a dozen teams because I need to have some idea on who might be worth keeping an eye on coming up (play in a long-term keeper league). Also, while I don't bet beyond Draft Kings $2-5 lineups (which is basically like a weekly fantasy play on a budget) I get where that intensifies interest in the games as well. They have to appeal to a wider fanbase.
Luckily with podcasts you can find targeted talk on whatever subject you want, whether straight sports angles or fantasy analysis or betting strategies. I hate radio sports talk in general, few people make interesting points and tend to repeat themselves (average listener being whatever 10-15 minutes). Cowherd is OK, he tend to do the hot take thing but he has interesting points sometimes and has good people on. Also, Jason Taylor's sister on news is a bit of alright:

CST, I am not saying it's boring for people to play Fantasy Football, I'm saying when sports radio talks about it, it is.
But not as boring as talking about points spread. Gambling can be fun, listening to someone talk about why a game moved 1/2 a point in Vegas is not.
That was probably Daniel Jones' best game as a pro... and the G-Men still found a way to blow it.

How many fumbles or Ints did he have this game ? Lol

The Giants' defense getting savaged by Taylor Heineken is pathetic.

What is wild is...Heinicke has played really solid. He played some inspiring ball last year as a sudden starter and this year he had Washington ahead for like 3+ quarters last week against Chargers. So he seems to have played solid. No clue if he'll stay the starter but ...ride the hot hand as they say.

If that's the case, then why did the Deadskins bring in FitzMagic and name him the starter? Makes you wonder if they trust Heineken, or maybe they think NFC Least is for the taking and they want a veteran to lead the team.

None, he put them in a position to win, he ran for a long touchdown that was called back. He threw another long TD pass that was dropped. And off sides on a FG is something that should never happen. He looked good, his team gave the game away.

My guess, they thought he wasn't quite ready and wanted to give him more time behind a veteran. Fitzpatrick is always a place holder who doesn't start the whole season. But now they have to throw Heinecki in and he has to prove himself. He looked okay last night. Knowing when a QB is ready is just guesswork and a lot has to do with the staff and team around him.
They're actually having a mid-season Hard Knocks, and the Indianapolis Colts will be the focus.
I hate this. Last thing I want is more Carson Wentz.

It is going to be a boring as Heck show. No one on the Colts has any kind of personality, and I wonder how much Anti Vax crap Carson is going to try and spout and how much HBP will show.
