Insulating history from certain segments of the student body because it makes them and/or their parents uncomfortable DOESN’T make it go away. Period. Full stop. End of story.
While that's true, in this case the authorities were the ones who said that she was trans (even though several news outlets have chosen to disregard that)
I've heard it both ways, that they were male to female, then that they were female to male. One neighbor knew the shooter as "she" when they were a teenager. Images of the shooter's social media have been posted and each time it looks like different info as been omitted depending on who's doing the posting. Supposedly, they left a manifesto, but law enforcement hasn't given a motive yet.

Much malice.
I've become increasingly concerned with how little freedom children are being allowed.

MTG's response to the latest school shooting:
School shootings should NEVER happen and will end immediately when our nations children are defended the same way Joe Biden is. By good guys with guns!!! End this now,
And she said this while interrupting an ATF audit of a gun shop in Georgia. It feels like an Onion article to type that...but it's not.

The 6 people who lost their lives WERE defended by a "good guy with a gun" and they're still dead! MTG needs to shut her damn pie-hole!
But most mass shooters being white men never gets mentioned.
Maybe it’s because I frequent internet publications more than television news nowadays, but I’m sure it gets brought up quite often.

I think she said "good guys with guns", plural. Apparently conservatives have moved on from the myth of a good guy with a gun and onto the myth of the good posse with guns.
And when that myth doesn't work out, the myth of "better men with better guns" is waiting in the wings.
It's like the world on a turtle thing with a radical right slant - the answer is it's all guns all the way down.

Not on TV, were the republican base gets most of their "news" unfortunately.

Like many of the MAGA mob, MTG had diarrhea of the mouth and anemia of the brain.

The 2019 Dayton shooting debunks the whole "Good Guy With a Gun" theory. From first shot to the police killing the shooter, it took only 32 seconds, but it still ended 9 lives in addition to the shooter and sent 17 others to the hospital. Once the gunfire starts, anyone armed needs to identify where those shots are coming from while trying not to become a statistic themselves, then they need to properly identify the target lest they add to the body count. Even the police managed to hit one of the victims twice themselves - however she was already bleeding out from a fatal wound already delivered by the shooter. I'm not a cop, but I wouldn't want the weight of an innocent life on my conscience.

A door, locked or otherwise wouldn’t have prevented yesterday’s tragedy as I saw video on the news this morning of the shooter blowing the door to pieces with gunfire. Already there’s ammosexuals and Second Amendment nuts on social media calling for doors with bulletproof glass, okay, shooters will counter that by bringing an IED to take out said door, or just blast through a ground floor window. A psychopath determined to get in a building to commit mayhem will find a way in, plain and simple.

Someone should remind her that there were plenty of good guys with guns in Uvalde, and they didn't do shit.

Republicans already oppose funding schools and paying teachers properly, but they'll really find billions of dollars to fully remodel and provide infinite security staffing. Uh huh. Just more fantasy talk to avoid any real issues. We're all still waiting to see the funding to improve mental health treatment and access, one of their other favorite distractions from gun issues.
And as was mentioned, there are plenty of examples of trained and armed guards/police getting gunned down.

And one of those “good guys” publicly admitted to being afraid to confront the shooter because he had an AR-15. This particular myth needs to be put to rest once and for all, because it’s an absolute fallacy.

Not by those who are making her being trans an issue.

There were a lot of good guys with guns at Uvalde.
