Amora the Enchantress!
Nekra!
Pink Pearl!!!
Titania!
The Deviant 'goddess' Erishkigal is one that gets overlooked / underrated a lot. She's been creeping around for ages, and been a thorn in the side of *the Eternals* for most of that time (and even the weakest Eternal is no friggin' joke!). Given that she's 'just' got some shapeshifting, winged flight and superhuman strength and longevity going for her, it's kind of impressive what she's accomplished in her time, going up against Eternals, Thor, Quasar, etc. (and having once stolen the Star Brand, and gained it's amazing power, which she lost soon after).
I would love to see Monica Rappaccini as the main villain of another Ant Man and Wasp movie. If nothing else they could actually do AIM properly after they were wasted in Iron Man 3.

As for casting I would have to go with Marion Cotillard, always perfect for your beautiful but deadly female scientist.

how would adopting some other dude's costumed identity make her more high profile?

i guess. she could definitely pull it off (i think the character was actually based on Monica Bellucci). personally, i think they'd be missing an opportunity to cast maybe an actress of indian extraction. her skin color changes a lot in the comics. but i'm pretty sure that her name is something that she adopted when she became a terrorist.

I wasn't impressed by Marion Cotillard's acting in The Dark Knight Rises.
Monica Bellucci, Catherine Zeta Jones, Eva Green or Sylvia Hoeks would be my picks for Monica Rappaccini

co-signed. Marvel proved that hiring older actors and actresses isn't as big of a gamble as it may seem.

Not sure, but I do recall her being last seen in one of the stories in the Amazing Spider-Man one-shot Going Big, even if I'm pretty sure it was a throwback.
Man, this list just show how under developed female villains are.
Yes and I have my fingers crossed that this list of female villains will be developed soon for the Marvel Cinematic Universe!
I'm really excited for the upcoming villain in Spider-Woman.
Also, I think Madame Hydra is a good contender for this.
Who else is missing?: Spider-Queen, Ruby Thursday, Big Zero, Man-Killer/Amazon, Black Cat, Doc Ock II, Lucia Von Burdas, Lady Bullseye, Coldheart
