My excitement with Trek ended with the final episode of DS9.

Enterprise and Beyond were kino though
Not exactly "Excited".
More like "This Seems Like It Has Potential, But The Network Is Really Trying To Talk Me Out Of It."
"We'll throw in Kevin Can Wait for free if you'll pony up the cash for this." That's a hard sell.
The total shift in just about every aspect of that show, has killed my interest in *that* as well. What was an awesome and funny guest appearance has now completely changed the show and it will not resemble the mildly funny comedy that it started as. Killing the mother off screen between seasons to bring back his King of Queens co star? Seriously?

What is kino?

the highest form of artistry in film.
It premiered today, people on twitter are saying its good. Looks like the haters are wrong again!

Are "people" Star Trek fans or casuals (i.e. only fans of TOS or Kelvin?)

Well, congratulations to it if it's good. It'll create a lot of jobs.
Still not paying to see it.
Having finally seen the trailer for it via Netflix I can say it looks good, it just doesn't overly feel like Star Trek. But I could be wrong. Though I didn't know Mudd was going to be involved, nice!

It's movies, cinema.
I REALLY want to see it. I'm a BIG Michelle Yeoh fan and have been for years.
I don't want to pay for another monthly streaming service to do so.
I feel the same way about Young Justice and Warner's as yet unnamed streaming service.

Same, nothing about it interest me enough for that.
