Quite a shock. This will definitely bring a lot of Marvel people over to DC I'd imagine. I'm not a big fan, but this is likely good news for DC to get THE high profile Marvel writer. Wonder what books he will be on?
You beat me by one minute! If the mods want to delete or merge my thread feel free.
This is a terrible news.
But I'm surprised that he left Marvel and wonder what actually happened?

I just noticed. A merge seems likely. :p
Pity especially when Defenders has been getting good.
And unless he gets Batman, they are liable to put him on some non-street book and he is pretty bad at writing in that area.
Did Barry fuck up the timeline again?
Anyways, I don’t mind as long he’s away from cosmic stories.
What?
Wait. Hold on.
......
What??
Well, this came out of nowhere. I can't tell if Im excited for DC nabbing the competition's biggest name or scared silly of "which" Bendis we'll be getting......the Ultimate Spider-Man or Daredevil Bendis I would welcome to the DCU.....the Avengers Bendis I'd rather not see screwing around with some of my favorite properties.......
Ah well, with luck the change in scenery will inspire him to be at his best and we'll get more Daredevil quality work out of him.
Well...f**k.
I wonder what poor character is going to get saddled with him.

Just wait until they announce he's rebooting the Legion of Superheroes. :p

It depends of the character imo, he is very hit or miss. I wouldn’t mind him doing a bat-book since he’s good at street level stories.

It's not imo. As a writer he is just not very versatile minus street level books unless you have the editorial big guns (at marvel) covering for his weaknesses, but there is none of that at DC and the big street character at DC, Batman, already is overflowing with writing talent. He is not needed there and he is pretty bad on non-street characters especially cosmic and powerful characters like most of the Justice League/Justice Society/Legion.
I think it's a good idea. Gives him new characters and a new universe to mess around with. I wouldn't say he's a bad writer by any means; his stuff is just super contrived and there's a dreary sense of sameness with almost every book he's on. A change of scenery might mean better content.

Hopefully something like Green Arrow.

Except DC has all their top guns on the batbooks with Snyder and King. Why do you need three A-listers in that corner.
