Kind of a light month for me-dropping avengers until this space arc is over; also dropping black panther and the agents of Wakanda because of the cosmic stuff. I wonder if savage avengers would be better served as a ‘ Conan in the modern world’ type book.
Nick Spencer not only convinced Marvel to waste a bunch of money to do a 2099 corner event, not only convinced them to start it before Carnage ended, but convinced them to include fucking Conan in it.
Looks like I'm down to one Marvel book on my pull list, TASM as Superior Spider-Man isn't there.
2099 is back baby!!!!
Can’t believe they’ve brought back FF 2099, thought they’d never be seen again.
Doom in Strikeforce? I'm here for it.
Getting Keown for the Hulkbrand spotlight is smart and I'm glad sweet baby Dario is still around. Quote me if Ewing kills him.

Immortal Hulk is going up against The-Hulk-That-Was at some point.
Will have to sort through all the Doom stuff!
Otherwise it's INVADERS! for a SuperVillain Team Up month.
The rest ... just not that interested in the retread of the 1990s.
Star Wars is ending. Guess 75 was the trigger anniversary issue for the obvious "Brand New Star Wars #1!!!!!!!!!!!" we all knew was coming.
If Star Wars relaunches with Conan right on the cover holding a lightsaber, I'll be there.
X-Men #2
Excalibur #2
Doctor Doom #2
Immortal Hulk #26-27
Avengers #26-27
King Thor #3
Savage Avengers #7
Invaders #11
Strikeforce #3
Daredevil #13
Conan The Barbarian #11
A bit of a lighter month.
Absolute Carnage 5
Venom 20
ASM 33-34
Spider-Man 3
Immortal Hulk 26-27
Guardians of The Galaxy 11
Daredevil 13
Maybe:
X-Men 2
Annihilation
2099 Alpha 1
House of X/Powers of X HC
The new Deadpool series looks fun!
And the new X-Men stuff looks interesting. We've seen them have their own nation before, so how is this one different?
Who's bright idea was it to tarnish the good name of a much-loved event like Annihilation?

It's going to be the most in-depth exploration of that concept in an X-Book. We've barely touched it and the books have already gone into international relations, trade, embassies, and different districts.

Abnett and Lanning, when they did an event about a completely different premise and called it Annihilation: Conquest.

Speak for yourself :D It's too soon to tell what the quality will be. I can't wait for the return of the 2099 universe. Did you ever read any of the originals? Warren Ellis's Doom 2099 was particularly memorable IMO. I hope Spencer is up for it.
Getting:
Everything 2099(seeing these make me feel like a kid again.)
Marauders
Agents of Wakanda
2099 is back baby!!!!

That one is a surprise to me considering it was revealed in 2099 Manifest Destiny, a one shot to finally tie up some loose ends, that the Fantastic Four in 2099 were clones created by the Watcher

Good point, the great attention to detail to Krokoa as a nation will be fun.
Also, Marvel has touched on Annihilation quite a bit. It's not the most popular event, but critically, it's a well remembered event that has had a quiet and subtle effect on the larger MU.
Basically getting everything Fantastic Four related. The main book is the only one that's a maybe, and it's dependent on whether the cosmic story is good.
Incredibly light month for me. I'll be getting:
Punisher Soviet #1
Avengers #26 and #27
Punisher Kill Krew #5
Tony Stark: Iron Man #18
I hope Spencer is up for it.
I wouldn't bet on that which is why I'm skipping the 2099. I am really interested in the Conan and Doom one-shots though, I wonder if it makes any sense to read only those and not anything else...
Ennis back on Punisher.
Be still my heart.
Marvel tales: Doctor strange #1
savage sword of conan #11
spectacular spider-man: Lo, this monster tpb
Abnett and Lanning, when they did an event about a completely different premise and called it Annihilation: Conquest.
While not on par with the original event, Conquest will probably be seen as a classic when compared to whatever is about to be spewed out by... him. :)

Marvel is going to sell 1 Million copies in December.
New series is going to be the first books to follow Rise of Skywalker.
Always thought “Conquest” should have just been called “Conquest”. It really didn’t need the Annihilation name on top of it.
Worried about this new Annihilation saga. If it can’t be as good or better than the original, then they shouldn’t bother.

He's a hero.
The 2099 stuff looks like a blast.

Yeah, putting out a SW relaunch the same month that Rise of Skywalker opens is a no-brainer.
Who's bright idea was it to tarnish the good name of a much-loved event like Annihilation?
Um, because maybe the new event will be very good and won't tarnish the original in any way?
And even if it's hot garbage, the original is still intact.
Yeah, putting out a SW relaunch the same month that Rise of Skywalker opens is a no-brainer.
My belief is not only will they be looking to ride some hype but the new series will pick up the story following Episode 9.
Ennis back on Punisher.

I feel the same way. Can't wait.
No Superior Spider-Man solicits
Ominious sollicits for Ironheart
Champions are already dead
Man, that sucks.
My belief is not only will they be looking to ride some hype but the new series will pick up the story following Episode 9.
Possibly. That would actually be very cool, to have a series that continues on past the current movie, rather than filling in the blanks in past continuity.
No Superior Spider-Man solicits
Boo to that. SSM has been so good. If #12 is the end, well, at least we got a nice little run but it should go on forever as far as I'm concerned.
Avengers and FF books my only likely buys, nothing else
Runaways, and maybe a few X-Books if HoX/PoX makes me interested.
Um, because maybe the new event will be very good and won't tarnish the original in any way?

You're absolutely right on all counts.

I admit I've not kept up with a lot of Spencer's stuff but I did like his Superior Foes of Spider-Man. In any case, I will get the Doom 2099 tie in since he's writing that.
I had just remembered that Nick Spencer was the writer on the mysteriously cancelled Victor Von Doom series about his college days some years back. At first it was claimed by some news sources that it was because artist Becky Cloonan was behind on the art. She did finish 4 covers which you can easily find on the internet. the source of that story had to retract their report about Cloonan IIRC. Months later it was given out that because the editor who was in charge was let go (with some other layoffs) that anything he was attached to got cancelled. That one really didn't make sense to me but who knows what goes on behind the scenes?
