They go to Heaven and become angels.
Sort of Valkyrie adjacent...but will Annabelle Riggs...if she survives WoR....keep the Nova Helmet?
We'll have to find out first if Clea and Ren Kimura can save Annabelle, based on the Asgardians of the Galaxy #9 preview.

I hope so and maybe Clea can help bring back Brunhilde. They were close back in the Old Defenders series.

Not sure she can. It seems that with Kid Loki gone that his enchantment on the helmet is gone as well. So unless she becomes a Nova after this, it seems unlikely that she'll keep it.

Nothing says his enchantment has to end.

It was shown to have when they arrived on Earth last issue and she tried using the helmet in combat. She even stated “Trust Loki magic to cut out at a time like this.”

I do not remember that part...I will re-read when I get home.
But just to be clear, the enchantment was still in effect after "Kid Loki" had been dissipated by Loki, so it wasn't that "Kid Loki" was maintaining it, he was just an extension of the main Loki, who was actually the one maintaining the enchantment. The enchantment cut out when Loki was killed by Laufey. So it is possible when he is resurrected, which we already know he will be, the spell could start working again, or at the very least he could be persuaded to cast it again.
But seeing as Annabelle has no body of her own, I suspect she will end up sharing a body again with a different team mate, OR end up attached to the Destroyer armor. It is active in the story, showed up after the Valkyries were killed, presumably taken from their ship along with the Bifrost shard, but there has been no explanation of who is piloting it. This seems to take place in the past, so it might be explaining that bit.

From the solicitations and interviews, the original Valkyrie will be sometimes showing up in the new Valkyrie comic, to give advice to Jane Foster from the dead. Interesting use of the character.
And that answers this question.
so where do the Valkyries go after death, since they traditionally escort folks to Valhalla...?
They still end up in Valhalla. Looks like either Dani or Jane will have to do it. Maybe Jane does and that's what earns her her new powers and mantle?

ofc she will...
Anyone know what happened to Samantha Parrington?
While I don't like that Brunnhilde was killed, I'm looking forward to this new Valkyrie series.
