I don't like to be negative right out of the gate, but yes, I do agree.
I haven't seen that show since forever it seems. But IMO it's gonna be hard to recapture the charm of the original.

One of the main appeals was the interaction of the characters: Bill, Ralph, and Pam. You could see the logos, ethos, and pathos in Pam, Ralph, and Bill as you did Spock, Kirk, and McCoy. Could it be done? Sure, it could, but lightning striking twice is very rare. In my opinion, the best chance would be to have main characters who think differently and not have one always be right.
Damn, I miss that show.

Well, I'll be negative right out of the gate. This is going suck, and suck damn hard.
I don't see any reason why this couldn't go either way.
The concept is like Dial H For Hero. It's design lends itself to being more than just one sort of show.
That said, why isn't this thread in the "TV/Film' sub-forum?
I liked the original.

A relative noob started it here. I expect it will be moved relatively soon.
It could work, but every reboot that works, like Battlestar Galactica, there are dozen that don't, like Kolchak, the Night Stalker.

I didn't know Kolchak was rebooted! Why was it a flop?
With today's tech, that could have been done so much better than originally and made the reboot a hit.
I don't know why the Kolchak reboot was a flop, but it was canceled after 6 episodes.

Big shame too, I liked the heck out of it and wanted to see where it would go.
I've never watched Greatest American Hero, but my mom apparently loved it back in the day. Hope it does better than we're all dreading for her sake.
Whoever posted that article really can't write. It's not "chalked full of entertainment", it's "chock full" or "chock-full". What, did they think Larson et al were working on a blackboard or something?
