Amnesty International says it has documented 125 separate instances of violence against protesters for racial justice in the U.S. over an 11-day period earlier this summer.
In a report published Tuesday, the human rights organization says that in the five years since 18-year-old Michael Brown was killed in Ferguson, Mo., "there has been a disturbing lack of progress ... in ensuring that police officers use lethal force only when there is an imminent risk of death or serious injury to themselves or others."
The instances took place between May 26 and June 5. They spanned 40 states and the District of Columbia, and allege excessive force by state and local police departments, as well as National Guard troops and federal agents. Among the incidents are beatings, the use of tear gas and pepper spray, and the firing of "less lethal" munitions. The study also documented the targeting of medics, legal observers, and journalists by law enforcement officers.
One of the episodes documented in the report is the account of Lizzie Horne, a Rabbinical student and protester in Philadelphia.
I couldn’t agree more. In these troubled times, both are essential for kids.

With discussion of cancellation, we should distinguish between concerns about politics and concerns about competence (granted, there is an overlap as one may say that efforts to produce a particular political message result in the work being worse.) If you don't want a writer on a book because you think his stories are derivative, it's different from not wanting a writer on a book because you disagree with his political message.
Cancellation generally goes beyond not being interested in an artistic product, with the insistence that it not exist. Most people who think a book is badly edited aren't going to buy it, but they're not going to put additional pressure on the company to get rid of the editor. The average person who thinks Batman is poorly edited isn't going to insist to DC that they will not buy Wonder Woman as long as the Batman editor has a job.
Comicsgate is definitely guilty of pushing for things to not exist, going so far as to have harassment campaigns in excess of left-wing comics fans, so they don't get to blame the left on this.
The editing in question were books that actually sold.
One was story related because the actual writer left the book and the artist (who had no writing experience took over). New 52 Static Shock.
Lion Forge's Cellies was a REAL minor writing error.
Teen Titans Rebirth was a MAJOR error with the scene in question.
Batgirl & Birds of Prey, Dynamite's Voltron & Rebirth Cyborg were art related. Cyborg's was a coloring issue like we see with Sunspot & Moment in X-Men.
One of the writers they target. Wrote the SAME story that Milestone did 20 years before. Yet they don't have an issue with Milestone.

It is.
The issue I have seen is it costs a lot ot get that many laptops and then your tech staff has to format and all.
We have had that issue. We only have so many techs and not every school (like mine) has one.
And my school district is a migrant district and open school district.
Migrant means our kids move aroud too much. Especially with CPS removals.
Open means we get kids from all over. They stop coming and it's a battle to get stuff back.
And we can't withhold records to get that stuff back anymore.
What solution do you have, should the feds come in to "deal" with these "far left anarchists" as you call them?
It's interesting that it's okay for me to label militia men far right, (which they are) but it's not okay to to list the protestors in balaclavas smashing store front windows, spray painting walls, and trying to set fires to buildings as far left (Which they are).
It's also interesting that you totally ignored my comment that Trump is an inept President who made things worst by bringing in the feds.
As for the mayor of Portland, this has been going on for months now, the (Anarcho/Proud Boys) clashes have been going on long before that, I doubt he will be getting re-elected, because that's how responsible people advocate for change.

Good news!
A federal appeals court denied former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn’s attempt to force a trial-court judge to grant the U.S. Justice Department’s surprise motion to dismiss the criminal case against him.
The decision Monday by a rare “en banc” panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals in Washington reversed an earlier decision by a three-judge panel that ruled the trial judge had no choice but to toss the case out.
U.S. District Judge Emmet Sullivan, who presided over the case and had accepted Flynn’s guilty plea for lying to federal agents, argued through his own lawyer that he should be allowed to question the Justice Department about whether it was dropping the case as a favor to a political ally of President Donald Trump.
Attorney General William Barr’s Justice Department said in May it was dropping the case because it determined Flynn’s false statements weren’t “material” to the agents’ investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election. It also said the FBI agents Flynn lied to essentially set him up to fail -- claims repeatedly echoed by Trump. Long after pleading guilty, Flynn sought to withdraw his plea and the Justice Department and Trump backed him.
The point made earlier was the feds will do nothing, not even condone and sometimes even support, the far right.
Hence the question they posed to you.
You also already answered the implication of the far right, so asking would be redundant since you already gave an answer (lack of leadership).
It's not really skipping, just answer the question. Now I want to know what you think.

See I think it's interesting that you equate people protesting over police brutality to the people out there protesting...well I don't know what they are protesting really? It seems like the latest group in Portland was just out to stir **** up in the name of Trump. But both of those are equal sure. Straight out of the alt right playbook 101.

Far left protesters are the ones asking for Bezos to get the guillotine, not black people angry at being murdered.

The people who built the guillotine for Bezos were former workers from Amazon. Turns out when you try to unionize the bosses and owners don't like it and try to mess with you.
A hard lesson I have learned: never befriend anyone because they don't like the same things you don't like.
I read about the Maya Forestater case and Rowling's response. I had actually read that one tweet earlier but did not know it was in response to Forestater and not a general statement.
Again, Rowling is a public figure making grand statements about a particular issue and yet is either ignorant of or refuses to acknowledge advances in science and knowledge that show sex is not some immovable object. Obviously, the question becomes: So why does she stick to her original point of view and continue to either not read about new discoveries that contradict her view or read and then ignore them? Especially since she is a public figure who has made this an issue. I would think the most likely explanation is that she is too attached to her view and doesn't want to change it.
As to Forestater herself, I hold it as being equivalent to what would happen here in the U.S. if someone went around at work saying black people don't belong in the same bathrooms as white people or maybe there at all. Strictly speaking, they are entitled to such an opinion but there can be consequences for saying it when it's public and creating a hostile work environment.
Of course, I'm sure Forestater feels trans women being there is a hostile work environment for her but if your definition of a HWE is people you are bigoted against being there, tough.
Also, I notice Forestater invokes the idea that trans women going into the Women's bathroom creates an uncomfortable and hostile environment. But that just shows that she's probably got an image in her mind of a guy frivolously identifying as female in order to get some cheap thrills in the Women's bathroom or Women's shower. Obviously, there is far more to self-identifying as another sex than just *saying* you do. I seriously doubt any guy who does not really self-identify as female would be willing to go through all the stuff he would have to go through just for that. Obviously, people who have gone as far as trans people do really do identify as the other gender and are the other gender/ sex. They aren't doing it for a cheap thrill. They are not men pretending to be women to get into the Women's bathroom. They are women.
The fact that she doesn't know that just indicates Forester, like Rowling, has a reason to not educate herself before making public statements about work or society in general.

Guess who sent me another flyer asking for money. With the GALL to ask for more money,
With this insert-
Stand up for our veterans
defeat the socialists on November 3rd, 2020
Joe Biden would return us to the Obama-Biden policy of disrespect, neglect and mistreatment of our nation's veterans.
"Not paid for by any candidate or candidate's committee."
Why would anyone pay when you are telling folks who to vote for. I could excuse it if it was five different parties running versus two.
Question for all
What has Trump did for veterans? Who he didn't disrespect.
That Obama didn't?

The Alt Right push neo nazi ideals. The "far left" are willing to destroy some property. They mildly trashed a starbucks (which was below apartments, so that one is bad to me. Dont' fucking endanger people or their homes.) because Starbucks give bigly to the police. A new youth detention center, still under construction. An apartment building under construction for the poor. There was reasoning behind this one, but I don't remember it. Some windows of giant corporations. One of which was Target, who were just like, it's cool, we can fix windows and replace merch.
The Far Right would like to cancel entire races. The Far Left would like to cancel the careers of shitty people.
I would personally suggest that one extreme far outweighs the other.
Yours always,
