Diana's disguise(or lack there of) was set up by Azzarello and Chiang in her solo book so Soule and Daniel are just following suit here. :(
Actually, Diana was set up with better disguises in Justice League and Lobdell's Superman. The recent Batman/Wonder Woman showed Diana using glasses as well, if I'm not mistaken. Like I even noted, Johns showed Diana with the ability to change in and out of her costume as if by magic.

Following the lead of Azzarello, when his lead doesn't work with the story and is actually lagging behind in ways that no longer fit the Wonder Woman that Soule is writing, is a stupid lead to follow, especially when her trench coat is apparently so silly that its dozens of buttons mysterious pop open from one panel to another. I guess Diana is just fortunate that she didn't bump into Jimmy with her outfit and boots so easily visible. She could have really caused trouble for Clark that way.

I agree with you 100%. I enjoy Superman/Wonder Woman but following Azz/Chiang's lead with the non-disguise is a poor choice IMO. Johns and Lobdell's disguises for Diana would have worked much better here.
she said "I need you" period
And if she had said that exact same line to Batman, you'd be cheering right now.
Everything? If that were the case, then rape culture would include exposes and critiques of rape and of the cultural tendencies that encourage it.
Wikipedia has a different definition, which seems more reasonable and useful:
Does depicting rape and misogynistic behaviors and language accurately as ugly things often committed by bad people--or, in this case, by a person who has been corrupted by a bad influence--"normalize, excuse, tolerate [or] condone rape"? Not necessarily, no.
I really doubt they will do a big deal of it. Rape culture is having a male writer do a scene with classic cliches from rape scenes: girl arrives home, it's dark, we see the creepy smile of the rapist, he do rape threats in the dark. I think that we women already live in big fear of it, to a dude go and write it just as shock value
I haven't see any abnormal neediness in this series. Any sort of neediness shown is perfectly natural of someone who is still mesmerized by being part of a new couple. She hasn't done anything that I consider to be weak, obsessive, or crossing a line.
No? and the 300 times she is always talking about him... clark this and clark that...she goes to her mom just to talk about him. let's see: issue 4 she is all I don't want to end alone, blah blah clark. All the times she talks about him wth hessia. she is freaking dependent of clark. it's sick. and she can't say I love you to him. worst writing from a couple. Not even finn and rachel from Glee was this awful
I wonder will we ever get a page where Superman talks about how much the world needs Wonder Woman?
Oh yes Brett. It's always WW saying nice things to Supes, world needs him, she needs him.
And if she had said that exact same line to Batman, you'd be cheering right now.
It's not the case, so I don't care

I don't see Diana as dependent at all. More like excited to be in a new relationship.

she should go to see a specialist, because her excitement is pretty sick and obssessive at this point

Didn't he just say that in the Superman/Batman Annual when Diana gives Kara her Sword and tells her that she will need to make decisions that he can't. Didn't he say the world needs it's greatest Soldier?
-
This is a pretty crappy book. And it looks like they're copying the Buffy story where Angel loses his soul and gets all mean and twisted at Buffy. Here we get Doomsday-Superman.
Whatever.

yeah, seems like the good girl WW is always in point to help superman. It's freaking weird.
Also it's another writer Pak, at least he remembers that Diana is also a good fighter. but the also forget that she is not a brute warrior.
Superman line is a disaster writing females

They're in a relationship. That's what people in relationships do. Help each other. Atleast the good ones. If I was turning into a giant rocky skinned rage monster I'd hope that my girlfriend would have my back. And hasn't Soule mentioned how skilled a warrior WW is several times?
Anyways looking forward to seeing how we get from this to the whole "Wonder Woman must die" situation in two months :D

I kind of saw it as she was in a rush or something. And with how much WW is in the public eye in the DCU I can see clothing designers copying her boots.
And I'd assume WW just used super speed to open her jacket just like Superman does. Or atleast I hope he does cause dress shirts don't just open when you tear at them. Well they do but then you ruin the shirt cause all the buttons come off.

I discussed this with Soule and Daniel on Twitter earlier today and it turns out that Daniel had depicted Diana in street clothes and editorial had him change Diana's apparel to that from the solo book so this one isn't on the Superman/Wonder Woman team. They tried......

people in relationship have their own lives too, Diana doesn't seem to have nothing to do besides Superman (lol), think about him, talk about him.

Diana can literally change her clothes with a swoosh of her lasso, and taking the time to do something so important as protect your boyfriend's privacy and the safety of his loved ones by protecting your own privacy is more than worthwhile.
