The turnout was much lower for the Governor's race. I imagine less people who voted for Biden came out and voted.

I am sure if a few Green Party members were elected, everything would be fine.
Yes, there's constant discussion on how he's being blocked by SCOTUS and the Senators. But why not also highlight executive actions that he's taken, covid response, or crime initiatives? I praised Biden for acting quickly with the N95 masks. And I posted about two former government officials that have recently been charged for serious crimes. Despite them both being part of the Obama administration, it's Biden's DOJ that is holding them accountable and I commend him for that.
Surely there must be more that he can be praised for and can be highlighted.

How is the Biden administration working for the country?
Green Party US tweeted:
Biden's pandemic response has consistently put profit over people. No consistent relief for working class people, no vaccine patent waiver to help the world & prevent new variants, no support for not-for-profit vaccines, & no expansion of healthcare.

Green Party US tweeted:
Biden promised a fair & humane immigration system. Instead he expanded Trump's Remain-in-Mexico system endangering asylum seekers & kept Trump's Title 42 illegally expelling huge numbers of refugees without allowing them to apply for asylum.
Yes, by all means, don't handwave. Just don't expect the rest of us to pretend both sides are just as bad, either.
Yeah no, I have no expectation of anyone pretending anything. But I can't imagine "the rest of you" all think exactly the same on these issues.
ALso the idea that he's 'broken up with Bernie' is hilarious when Bernie continues to be biggest advocate in the senate, the two are personal friends. Biden correctly described himself as a mainstream democrat in response to a tilted question from fox News, and all the rest of the press can do is breathlessly report it as if its news that Biden described himself as a Not A Socialist yet *again*, and some people on the left want to have a cry or get sad because he said 'I'm not a socialist and not Bernie' while mentioning he likes Bernie. GOSH THE INSULT.
Except the question he was asked had nothing to do with Bernie. It was about his policies seemingly bringing the country farther left, and he defensively evoked Bernie's name. That's what was strange about it.

Biden is being forced to keep Trump's Remain in Mexico policy in place via court order from the 5th Circuit. The Supreme Court either upheld it or declined to review it in one of their unsigned shadow docket decisions. If the Green Party is blaming Biden for that and not the Trump appointed judges behind it how can I trust them to be honest about anything else?

Shows how great the GOP spin machine is.
They are fighting mask mandates, refuse to wear masks, wont get the vaccine and fight vaccine mandates.
Then they blame Biden for why covid is out of control and people are buying into it.
And it bugs me that The Dems allow it. They need to say
"Why is covid out of control? Look at the crap the GOP is doing!"
But high road and all of that.

"Why won't Joe Biden stop us from punching ourselves in the face? Some president he is, LET'S GO BRANDON."

While I probably align on the issues more with the Bernie Sanderses and Green Party candidates of the world than the more centrist Democratic establishment, it's not in the Green Party's interest to praise Democrats. They're looking to s##t on them (often times for legitimate reasons) to try and poach voters and donors from the left wing of the Democratic coalition. As with conservative pundits or "journalists" I'm willing to read/listen, but will go in assuming a heavy bias and attempt to separate fact from fiction as best I'm able. I wouldn't take them at their word, because they're not incentivized to be impartial.

Except it's not so black and white anymore. There was a rally in Boston recently against the vaccine mandate, a very liberal city as we know.
https://www.bostonherald.com/2022/01/05/hundreds-rally-against-boston-worker-vaccine-mandate/
Many speakers openly said they are Democrats and firmly believe in vaccines, but don't believe in mandates. Oregon, another deep blue state, just scrapped their plans for a statewide mandate because they feel it's not worth the fight after the SCOTUS ruling.
Private companies can still mandate them but even left-leaning companies like Starbucks are ending them.
Starbucks Will No Longer Require Employees To Be Vaccinated Against COVID Or Get Tested
https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/paigeskinner/starbucks-ends-vaccine-mandate
And now a new CDC study is saying "that individuals who had a history of COVID-19 fared better than those who were only vaccinated against the strain of the virus during the later months of 2021. Vaccinated individuals with previous infection had the most robust levels of protection, the study found."
https://www.silive.com/coronavirus/2022/01/past-covid-19-infection-offered-strong-protected-against-delta-variant-cdc-study-shows.html
The science is changing day to day and people of all political leanings are aware of it.
I honestly wish there was more discussion here about the current administration, but it tends to be 99% Trump in this thread. Biden's approval rating continues to fall and it's not looking good as we march towards the midterms. Biden impressively won Virginia by a large margin, 54% to 44%, but then one year later Republicans take the state.
While Biden's sinking popularity likely shares some blame in this, Terry McAuliffe really lost a lot of support with his statements about parents not having any say in the curriculum being taught in schools.

Green Party of the USA has posted a tweet about President Biden's first year report card:
❌No legislation on climate, workers rights, minimum wage, healthcare expansion, criminal justice, voting rights
❌No student debt cancellation
Abuse of immigrants
Weak pandemic response
Record military spending
Grade: F
Do you have the grades that the Green Party has given other Democratic Presidents while they were in office, because to me it is hard to imagine them giving anything other than 'F'. Yeah, the Biden Presidency has been somewhat disappointing, but still miles ahead of Trump. Better to be stagnant than moving backwards. I'd give Biden a D+, I think.

I get what you're saying and that's how it's mostly been but changes are happening. The lawsuit against Boston Mayor Wu includes the Boston First Responders United group and they're a mix of liberals and conservatives. I personally don't agree with trying to sue the Mayor for trying to keep people safe, expending tax dollars, but they're going for it.

Yeah, I constantly hear those on the right blaming Biden for the fact that there have been more deaths under his Presidency than Trump's, while conveniently ignoring the reality of what is behind those numbers.
