Plants of Power
One day a cackling little elf offers you a gift. He can give you a seed from ANY plant; from worlds you thought were only fictional. With only some soil, and whatever care the plant needs, it will grow into the full adult version! Magic or tech far beyond your world's understanding could be brought to your backyard. All you have to do is ask for a plant. He will only give you one seed, so choose wisely.
Rules:
Any plant in fiction is game.
If you ask for a sentient plant creature, like a Disgaea demon, Treefolk, or Plant Pokemon; the seed will sprout into a baby version. It may or may not have a personality similar to any of the canon versions. It will be a sentient creature for you to raise.
While most plants only need some dirt, exceptionally large trees like Yggdrasill or the World Tree from DBZ MIGHT have some negative consequences on your surrounding property. :D The Elf won't tell you about that and won't help you with any problems you get into about that, so think carefully.

Can I ask for Swamp Thing?
-
Is he an actual discrete plant, or is he some kind of Force of Nature that just takes over already existing plants?

He's the god of all plant life in the universe. He is made up of plants.

I'd ask for a Ghestal tree, but I don't have thousands of years for it to grow into something impressive.
…..
Also, big. :(

Popeye’s Spinach will do for me.

I want either the legendary version of amaranth, for immortality, or maybe the Great Root of Power ginseng variant from The Bridge of Birds, which can cure any disease.

Per the OP, you would get a baby Swamp Thing. And if you ask for Giant-Size Man-Thing #1, you will get a baby Giant-Size Man-Thing #1, which is just awkward.

Hmm, I don't think Swamp Thing was ever a baby, he was just created by magic. He doesn't age at all so there is no younger version of him.

Heck that's real world. He hands you a seed to grow some really itch inducing plants, and bails.

My point was, from what I heard, especially from that page that was going around where Lex Luthor tells some guys how to beat Swamp Thing, was he wasn't like a Disgaea demon. He wasn't a tree that happened to have Godly Powers, he was a godly manifestation of all plant life that just happened to use whatever preexisting plants that were where he wanted to be to make a body out of.
