It is kinda hilarious at some of the... twitter complaining about "sexualizing" black widow (a sexual character at times in the source materal) when MCU dudes are throwing off shirts for the "female gaze" literally every single movie.
Because the male gaze has been a much bigger problem in movies than the female gaze. Not that I care for these shirtless scenes, but it's not exactly an equal comparison

In movies overall? Absolutely.
In the MCU? Absolutely not.

I dunno, there's a LOT more male characters with shirts off then like ass or boob shots of women. Drax literally never wears a shirt

That sort of thing I believe was Marvel trying to equal things out. But overall in Hollywood's history, the objectification of women far outweighs men.
And recently in Widow's movie, a lot of those shots are butt shots. So many that I made a drinking game of it while watching it with friends.

Yeah, but can you really separate one movie series from everything? Plus, the male characters were always still at the forefront, whereas the female ones were treated like side characters

That's true, and I don't really think it's necessary. But the male characters are show as muscular and fit. None of the female characters are sexualized for that.

I'm a personal believer in equal opportunity and gender balanced fanservice.

I'd rather have none of this kind of fan service at all. Although it depends on whether the actors are ok with this kind of stuff

I enjoy it enough within its own right but obviously what's most important is whether the performers are comfortable with it :).

That's right. After the recent events exposed in Hollywood in the last few years, I'd only be comfortable with it if the actors aren't pressured into it

Yeah, obviously no one should be forced into doing anything...although I guess there's always body doubles.
