The Hulk comics sort of had a habit of Banner getting a happy ending and then it all gets so much worse. Granted, this does happen with other superheroes too at times (although not as frequently).

I'd like a John Constantine team up with Immortal Hulk with Ewing.. imagine that :D

Just smash Constantine's face in.

Banner finally cured, attempts to marry Betty? Leader shows up and reverses it.
Hulk gaining Banner's mind and becoming a hero and proper scientist=Ends up with him eventually becoming totally savage and his worst rampages
.
Hulk making peace with Ross? Betty dies (Although eventually she is revived, although given her own gamma curse).
Rick and Marlo get married, Betty grows to accept the merged Hulk? Pantheon collapses within, Betty badly wounded, Merged now turning into Savage Banner and forced to hide in Florida.
Planet Hulk? 'Nuff said.
Banner finally cured of the Hulk? Civil War II happens, gets shot in the head, Hulk re-emerges a year later but with the "Devil Hulk" now the dominant persona.
It's the sad depressing reality for Bruce Banner. Happiness and peace is always fleeting and so short lived. I hate it, but I accept that's how it's meant to be for him.

I would LOVE to see COnstantine just get smashed by the Hulk's punches as he rightfully deserves it for his smug attitude.

Tragedy us one of the best aspects I like about the character. Hulk and (total) happiness don't match. LoL.
BTW, so excited Ewing mentioned Leader and Gammon in the same sentence!

I agree with you completely. Hulk is one of the few characters who I think should NEVER be happy or content for long. Other characters such as Superman, Spider-Man or even Batman can work if happy but not Hulk.
-
Yea as sad as it is, Hulk is one of the characters that just can't be happy, it doesn't work for him, he can be happy for a short time obviously but tragedy should follow very quickly, like in Planet Hulk where he had happiness for like an issue or two and then everything came crashing down horribly.

And honestly, if Bruce and Hulk ever did find permanent happiness, they wouldn’t know how to enjoy it or what to with it. They’re too used to hurt, loss and pain. Happiness goes against their nature, and if Bruce is at peace, then the hulk will never emerge again.

And, even if Banner gets free of the Hulk, the monster always finds his way back. Or Banner always makes him come back. :)
-
Even when they've been seperated physically Banner tries to find a way-the first being the Heroes Reborn Hulk (Created in HR Iron Man) which was the savage persona of course while the "Grayvage" version without Banner ran around in the regular MU.
The second though (Aaron run) Banner's clone body couldn't do it and all attempts to irradiate himself (Which usually winds up with the Hulk back) just got him sick and crazy instead. Until he was just absorbed back into the Hulk.

Some Immortal Hulk #25 questions? What exactly was the Hulk in that issue? Was it the Hulk? Or was it a possessed Hulk empowered in and used by the TOBA? Was the power displayed in breaking worlds and snuffing out suns his own?

#25 Hulk or the "Breaker of Worlds" was the Hulk combined with the Metatron/embodiment of the 8th cosmos, but with the soul of Bruce Banner removed and replaced by the entire influence of TOBA. It's also implied that it devoured the souls of an infinite number of beings.

So the Hulk's power alone was not responsible for breaking worlds and ending suns?
So the Hulk's power alone was not responsible for breaking worlds and ending suns?
Yes and no. Yes it was the Hulk's actual body being puppeteer'ed but the Hulk/Bruce Banner wasn't at the wheel.

what was the Hulk appearance in "Marvel Voices" about?
