Does anyone have any news when or if Saga is going to be returning?!? I hope we don't have another Morning Glories situation happening here.

I think it was supposed to come back in December; but with the virus situation who knows
Its long overdue, not only due to the corona virus. It was about half a year late, before corona hit.
No word from Fiona Staples or Brain K. Vaughn, nothing. I really hate that. Why do not inform us about the status Q ? Its so easy these days. A twitter or Facebook post: Sorry guys, due to problem x or y, the book is delayed without having a specific date for continuation.
So, we as fans who invested money know what's going on. Its very unprofessional.
I tried to talk about that in another thread (can't find it, or maybe it was on Facebook?) but there seems no demand for informations of the whereabout of certain books.
I mean what happened to:
Seven to eternity
Saga
Port of Earth
Batman/The Maxx Arkham Dreams?
I just want to know. I don't care if the answer would be that the book is canceled forever or delayed indefinitely. I would be sad, ok...but at least I would know...
To bring something positiv to the table, some creators like Erik Larsen and Robert Kirkman are not like that. Some others, too. But I can't name them right now.
Last October they apparently said they were working on it and it would be back when they finished the next 6 issues. However I expect the pandemic will delay it.
Is Morning Glories not coming back?

To my knowledge, yeah. I read somewhere that Nick Spencer said that it is on permanent hiatus and if he gets time he will revisit.

Joe Eisma recently tweeted that he was drawing his first Morning Glories pages in 6 years. I believe they are returning.

The majority of the interview Vaughan reiterates information that most fans already know (the themes of parenthood and creating in Saga, his working relationship with Fiona Staples, how he prefers Saga to remain a comic rather than be adapted into a TV show or movie, the cliffhanger in issue 54 was the halfway point in the story, etc.)
But he confirms at the end that he and Fiona understand fans' frustration, they are working hard on the issues and they want to have enough of them made so that they release them all on time, and they promise that its coming.
Good to know. I'm one of those binge entertainment fans with a big backlog, I have the Saga trades on my shelf. Haven't read any yet, may dig into it this summer. Since I'm years or decades behind on various comics and books, 54 issues doesn't seem like too big of a backlog for me with Saga. ;)
Thanks for reviewing it, Synestra.
I am happy to hear that they are working on it.

Happy to help, and same here.
I had actually taken a break from Saga a while before issue 54, and only caught up this year. And I'm kinda glad, because that's a really long time to sit on that cliffhanger they left it on.

I re-read it in January. Its even better when you can read it in chunks.
Now, if Seven to Eternity would pick up again...
