Messner-Loebs: I really love his stories, even though he always annoys me that he didn't use that world that Marston or Perez left him and I don't understand why. It is the series that I have read the most and enjoy as an adult. My guilty pleasure :P

Nothing guilty about it. His run is very underrated

Yeah, "Guilty Pleasure", I know there is no such thing, but I say it because of being a run that made me angry, after a time I began to adore it and it is probably the one that I have read the most in its entirety.
I forgot about the Finchs, in the column that I have not enjoyed so much, except that at the end it closes the circle started by Azzarello, but meh.

I effing love this run! Super underrated, imo. His Flash run usually gets hyped WAY more than his WW.

Somehow I missed this thread when it was posted, but here goes:
1.) Messner-Loebs
2.) Perez
3.) Rucka
Runners-up include Simone and Jimenez. Everyone else on the list ranges from "Okay" to "Meh" to "No... just no". :p
-
It won't thrill me if Rucka beats out Perez, Marston, or even Messner-Loebs for the top spot. Personally I thought Rucka's stories were kind of bland for the most part.

Yeah me too. I honestly feel like it's the one run after Marston that shows every single quality Diana has as a character. And the DC retrospective 90s issue is such a great comeback because it brings back the spirit of the golden age adventures where Diana trained the Holliday Girls. I can't think of any other story about Diana training normal women.

For good reason.

Sensation Comics had a story like that.

I chose Perez with Rucka as a close second.

Cool cool cool. Do you remember the issue?

Thanks man (or woman or other)

It's man, for clarification. :D
And you're welcome.

The poll skips from Denny O’Neil to George Perez???
Apologies to Martin Pasko, Gerry Conway, Jack C. Harris, Roy Thomas, Dan Mishkin and Kurt Busiek.
Conway and Thomas’s runs are such overlooked gems. They gave us Orana, Debbie Domaine, and Silver Swan.
Orana was technically created by Robert Knaigher, but it was Jack C. Harris who wrote that great story from 250-251. Harris wrote a very short but underrated run (#242-254), much better than Conway, imho.
