I'm beginning to sense a pattern here. You know, if we keep talking about it, they might not do it.
I don't see a reboot any time soon.
However, I suspect that we'll see a line-wide initiative announced come January 2020. All the titles will be monthly, Event Leviathan will have concluded, possibly Justice/Doom War and Metal II will be in the starting blocks.
One of the first things DC should do is stop trying to sell one person an entire line of comics when you have the comics at these absurd price points. I mean, who does something like that? When I was a kid, it was understood that CapCom wasn't trying to sell everyone everything all at once. If you liked fighting games, you played Street Fighter, if you liked action platformers, you played Mega Man, if you liked role playing games, there was Breath of Fire, survival horror, there was Resident Evil, and so on. And if you DID happen to like all of it, you bought it all! Some people did, but it's not like Resident Evil was trying at all to appeal to fans of Mega Man. There were no line wide initiatives. I guess that line of thinking has to do with having a shared universe, but I still think it's kind of weird to sell one person the universe instead of better aiming individual products at individual tastes. Like during DCYou, New 52, and ReBirth, nearly everything HAS to shift in tone and direction. It's bizarre.
Likely because he realized the effect it would have on sales of Doomsday Clock if people realized a series already hurt by delays was going to have no real impact.
There are questions as to whether the delays caused the lessening of effects or that the lessening of effects were responsible for the delays. Not that it really matter which to many of us.

Should we start a new thread about this?

Whatever is coming, don't expect either the original Multiverse or the DCU intact. It will be something old, something new.

Just so we're clear: The infinite multiverse is back, yes?
Just so we're clear: The infinite multiverse is back, yes?
My head canon is that the infinite multiverse has always existed. DC will often restrict access to most of the universes and events creating or destroying those dimensions are just easing crossing over or making it more difficult. When current physics has reasonable theories about 10 or 11 dimensions and infinite universes, it's stupid for superhero comics to cut back on those ideas.
