Regarding the extra Grey Hulk I mentioned, I just remembered the Hulk seen in Fantastic Four (During JMS run?) was also Grey, but didn't seem to act or really look like Fixit (He seemed a bit more Professorish when he calmed down).

It was also, funny enough, in Vegas.
I never did follow that storyline; I remember seeing a growling, gray Hulk that didn't speak -- and said "no thanks!".

In fact, that transformation was kind of strange. What we got was an almost mindless Hulk due to the massive gamma radiation he absorbed. Maybe they used that color to suggest a darker Hulk, I guess.
A little late to the party, but damn this issue was really good!
[spoil]Love the new Abomination look (just curious about what's his face looks like behind those fingers), Joe was badass and that Hulk transformation scene was both amazing and terrifying![/spoil]
[spoil]It was awesome, indeed. Talking with a group of friends, and from the description of #19, we believe we'll see a terrified, distorted face from Rick beneath it all. It's gonna be pure horror.[/spoil]

Damn if that's the case, it's going to be crazy!!!!!!
[spoil]Maybe that's why the Abomination was silhouetted on the cover of Immortal Hulk #18 (it looks like the fingers are not covering his face) and why Al Ewing said the design was "too scary to reveal yet".[/spoil]

From what I got from Bennett, that's exactly the case.:cool:

Looks like IH #20 is getting a pseudo tie-in with the Absolute Carnage event in form of ending pages:

Edit: Also, Ewing was on a podcast talking about Marvel #1000 and Immortal Hulk amongst other things. His audio is quite bad unfortunately, so if anyone's willing to neck it out and post some interesting information that would great: http://www.warrocketajax.com/2019/05/20/episode-451-thats-maths-f-al-ewing/

First 6 Issues of Immortal Hulk To Be Reprinted (Again) As Director’s Cuts
At the Diamond Retailer Summit in Las Vegas yesterday, the Marvel Comics presentation ran through all manner of comics, projects, promotion and the like. But also recognised the extraordinary sales success that Immortal Hulk has been enjoying, pointing out that the most recent issue sold at the same numbers as the first heavily promoted, multiple varianted, increased discount issue last year, something unheard of at the publisher in recent years.
And as the first issue enjoys its fifth printing now, it’s also getting a Directors Cut version in August, along with the rest of the first size issues of the series. Which means original artwork, script, notes and other production matter into the series that Al Ewing, Je Bennett and Paul Mounts have brought to fruition…

Also, interesting tweet by Ewing (talking about the list in #18):
Imran
@mushi206
@Al_Ewing
loving the story in the Immortal HULK 👍🏽
Not read a Hulk comic in ages until I picked up issue 1 never looked back since
I have to ask will the Gray Hulk appear or do we have to make do with his mind in Banners body?
Al Ewing Writes Comics
@Al_Ewing
@mushi206
We'll be answering that in #18, when Bruce makes his list...

Hmmm, I'm VERY tempted to double-dip but this seems like future special edition Omnibus or HC Trade bait so I'm gonna wait a bit.

I'll probably get both. LOL.

There was some preview art a while back from bennet showing Joe in full Hulk form and classic suit and hat. (Unless that was already in #17 as some kind of flashback?).

Btw, which personas do you guys want to see?
