We have tons of European mutants but none from Italy. Which I find kinda odd. I mean it IS a popular country for tourism.

That's definitely a more recent addition, I ,mean him being from Italy. Don't think it was always that way. I have the handbook, pretty sure his origins were unknown.

There were some rather touching stories about his friendship with Blob, who considered Unus to be his only friend.

As an Italian I'll second that! And I'll add that Guido Carosella is Italian, or at least Italian-sounding. Plus we had that horrible collection of stereotypes that was Paulie Provenzano during Lobdell's Eve of Destruction story.

Second generation Italian-American. Which is basically just American from the point of view of an Italian, lol.
Vincente from the Generation X´s New Hellions was Italian, wasn´t he?

Marauders writer Gerry Duggan also passed on a hint about Lourdes’ return in his upcoming issue.
“Painful secrets are revealed in the wake of this year’s triumphant Hellfire Gala. Lourdes was a flame that burned bright, and was extinguished before Cerebro came online, making her resurrection a lost cause — OR IS IT?? Also, is that little Harry Leland on their board? Holy s***!”

But hey, bringing back Shaw’s dead girlfriend who he hasn’t mention in decades, that will show him! Also, Emma and kitty, ‘we must do something about Shaw. Somehow us beating, humiliating, crippling and forcing him to be our servant him did not make him loyal and trustworthy. He’s still plotting against us!

I actually asked this about Guido and was told he was really Puerto Rican. I also thought he was Italian or maybe I remembered the other thing wrong. Heh, I was thinking about Paulie the other day and wondering if they resurrected him when I was thinking about Jean and the topic of leadership. I actually think Lobdell's interim issues weren't that bad other than the stereotype.
Paulie was in an issue of Cable. He and Stinger have a child together and were living off of Krakoa.
