Well, mine are ones I like in particular eras, because some characters are really characterized completely different in some eras than others. So I don't necessarily like them in all eras.
Dick Grayson/Nightwing
Jaime Reyes/Blue Beetle
Barry Allen/The Flash
Stephanie Brown/Spoiler
Lois Lane
Jay Garrick
Wally West
Ray Palmer
Jack Knight
Courtney Whitmore
Billy Batson
It’s six, come at me :D
I think we've got like five of this thread or something but what the heck ^^
Dick Grayson
Diana
Jonathan Samuel Kent
Damian Wayne
Jason Todd
Jason's been getting higher and higher on my list but I'm not sure if it's because of the story or because he has the best fan art and fan comics. It's also a good thing that he mainly has an uninterrupted story arc while being a snarky ass to everyone he meets. The benefit of being not that close to Batman I guess is you don't get dragged to his shit that often compared to somebody else in this list.
I have to exchange Clark for Damian because I realized I've bought more Damian comics than Superman.
I wanna put Alfred in there but he's not at the forefront compared to the others, as in, not the main character or main focus. I'll put him alongside Clark and Bruce in the honorary mentions.
I'll put Wally in the honorary mention as well, even though I've read like... two stories with him, because he is likable but DC doesn't like him and I'm in the "fight me" mood with DC lately.
Michelle Carter/Goldstar
Dawn Granger/Peace Avatar
Ch’al Andar/Golden Eagle
Danton Black/Multiplex
Jonn Jonnz/Martian Manhunter
Ralph Dibny
Jimmy Olsen
Sugar Plumm
Selena Kyle
Rima, the Jungle Girl
in no particular order
1. Black Lightning
2. Red Hood
3. St. Walkers
4. Duke Thomas
5. Jessica Cruz & Simon Baz (they share the slote because I like them best as a pair)
honorable mentions: John Stewart, Outlaw Bizarro, Artemis of Bana-Mighdall, Kaldur'ahm, Wallace West, Kimiyo Hoshi, Kong Kenan, Naomi McDuffie, Cassandra Cain, Bronze Tiger, Godspeed, The Immortal Men, Martian Manhunter, Hawkgirl, Aquaman, Mr. Terrific
Phantom Stranger
Jim Corrigan/Spectre
Dr. Fate
Hawkman
Hawkgirl
honorable mentions to Madame Xanadu, Kamandi, Bat Lash, Enemy Ace, Catwoman

Five characters? Oph, I like a lot plenty of characters; but faves... Let's see.
Jason Todd, first of all.
Wally West, that one is clear too.
Lois Laine, she's a badass.
And then... Mmmm, either Scott Free and Big Barda or Booster Gold and Ted Kord / Blue Beetle.
Oh, right! Constantine. Yeah, I think I like him enough to be a personal fave.
Does Fables count? It was Vertigo, and that means DC, right? I think I can say that some of the characters there became favourites of mine, like Wolf.
There're a lot of characters that I like a lot, but I don't think I would say they're my favourites. Dick Grayson, Chris Kent, I liked Catwoman a lot when I was a child but nowadays not that much, Supergirl, Tim Drake too, I guess, the more I read of him, Kyle Rayner, Jericho, and Starfire. I can't think of any more that I would put over others that much now. Edit again: ah, right. Jaime Reyes and Guy Gardner are a lot of fun to read. I'll put them here.
Heh, I think I probably have more characters in my "like a lot" list from Marvel, even if my "faves" list there is even smaller.

Lois Lane
How would you feel about making her a vigilante?
Superman
Lois Lane
Nightwing
Arthur and Mera (package deal, fight me)
Power Girl (Kara Zor-L)
It changes from time to time, but that feels right. Wally West is an honorable mention
How would you feel about making her a vigilante?
Costumed hero thing, you mean? Totally against. She loses her niche that way, I think. She is the reporter, the best reporter in the world, that is her role. She takes down the bad guys by writing the story.
Clark Kent Superman
Bruce Wayne Batman
Hal Jordan GL
Barry Allen Flash
Hawkman & ME! ;)

Well it isn’t like she hasn’t suited up before. She is Earth 1s Superwoman, and has donned it quite a few times. Also, like everyone else, we have seen the Lois Lane of other Earths where she has suited up, including one in which she joins the Blue Lantern Corps.
Wally West
Stephanie Brown
Martian Manhunter
Michael Holt
Barbara Gordon (Oracle)
