A rough time for Celtics fans, having lost Jones and Tommy Heinsohn only a month or so apart.
Tell me about it. I came of age as a Celtics fan while K.C. Jones was the coach. He's always been my coaching touchstone when talking about the Celtics. Much like everyone has their 'Doctor' in Doctor Who, K.C. was my Celtics coach.
Not being talked about much in all the obituary pieces is the 2 plus seasons he spent coaching the New England Blizzard, the Connecticut based women's pro team in the American Basketball League. The record wasn't great (43-54) but it was a coup for the league at the time.

Very sad, he was reportedly one of the nicest people in wrestling. And 41 is very young to die of a "non-COVID" lung condition. I wonder what it was? I liked his character in WWE.

I hope not. I've had personal family experience with that, and it's horrible. Hopefully, for him it was something fast and relatively not that horrific.

Rip, Pierre Cardin… and Claude Brasseur who has been a wonderful Vidocq.
But, as I write this, I hear the announcing of the death of soldiers in action, few days after the announcing of the death of officers called to save a women…
There are so many good people that die, less known, so often…

Tonight's AEW Dynamite will be a tribute show dedicated in his memory, complete with a match handpicked by his son.

If he had only played consistently with good teams and not in a hitter's park during his prime. From his generation, I'd take him over guys like Palmer and Ryan, while I don't see that much difference between Niekro and Carlton for their careers.
RIP

Another HOFer said of him, "hitting him was like eating jello with chopsticks".:p
Somebody had a perfect turn of phrase...

Agreed. It's hard to hit something that can go any which way. :)

And that drove his own catchers crazy because, more often than not, they didn’t know which way the ball would go either.
