I know that this is comics but a statement like that is not going to age well. I would say that it has aged terrible these last minutes already. Mankind has so far not invented any political or finanical system that works. Some might work in some circumenstances but fail horribly in others.
Jean is a compassionate person. Thinking back to X-men red she was dreaming about a better world. I like her the best when her capacity to care is one of her defining traits.
Socialism has literally destroyed the life of entire nations, for an ideology that does not work ..... and that takes away freedom of expression and development.
Ask any user who, if they have lived in any country that really applies socialism, if they are very happy with that.... most of them had to flee those who could to countries where there is individual freedom and less complexes and resentment social for those who have a better economic situation .
I mean, sure, but the version of socialism that's a popular ideology among US leftists is not "socialism," it's "democratic socialism." It's not hard to imagine Jean as a democratic socialist.
Ok OK . I hope for the sake of the character that she REALLY is like that, and she's not a real Marxist socialist, because that will be very bad, that she supports an ideology WHICH HAS POSSIBLY DESTROYED EVEN MORE LIVES AND FAMILIES than the savage capitalism (lol) that she's criticizing so much. I will only say to add that in the United States they do not apply nor do they know what REAL socialism really is, nor the Marxist ideology that I really insist does not work, and it brings terrible things to businessmen and above all to families.

Some of these american democratic socialist actively support regimens like Cuba, Nicaragua, Venezuela, Syria and even Russia just because they are anti american.
He's a humble, leader. Nothing wrong with that.
I didn't say it's wrong ,I said it's weird because I've not heard of such stratification in the team before..among fans perhaps ,but to hear it from Scott is just jarring especially because him thinking of his peers as 'betters' doesn't only imply humility.

Being anti-something doesn’t automatically make you pro-the opposite. Anti-capitalism isn’t pro-communism. When it comes to grilling I am pro-hot dog, that doesn’t make me anti-burger. Maybe burgers work for you, I dunno.
Alls that’s clear to me is JEAN GREY FOR PRESIDENT.

All I want to say is I called Sinister being Stasis months ago hell yeah!
-
So we’ve got the main Sinister with a diamond on his forehead and now a Sinister with a club on his head. Wonder if we’ll see one with a heart and one with a spade at some point.

Very likely ,with the spade iteration probably being the most dangerous/worst.
She still sounded very pro-socialism AND THAT IN REAL LIFE I'M SORRY BUT IT'S NOT A GOOD THING.
People who have really lived the socialist concept in their own flesh I think will feel quite offended, reading post praising the virtues of Marxists and socialism. X_x
Dude.
Im live in Chile and Capitalism just divide us make us hate each other and push many chileans into bad things.
There´s not culture besides the one we can get. the poor die poor and the rich die rich.
Also the political ideals doesnt mean you have to believe in all of them
Countrys like Brasil or Argentina have suffered the consequences of "out of control capitalism"
But back to the theme i dont dislike the x men characters having a more "leftish" political opinion. i mean they are the concept minority (Half of them are part of the LBGTQI community)

True.
It also implies confidence. He knows the value of his peers and what they bring to the X-Men table. It's why Jean and the Ladies could go off to Gameworld and wreck shit...and he wouldn't be worried. Why he can split from Synch in the sewers and know that whatever happens it will be handled.

Leftist goverments like the ones in Venezuela, Nicaragua, Bolivia and Peru are very homophobic and transphobic, as a Latin American you should know better, before you said those are "not real socialism" then the goverments of Chile and Argentina are not real capitalists.

Another great issue.
I loved that everyone (except Rogue) got a moment. And I'm really looking forward to see how Duggan wraps up this 12-months long arc(s). I hope it will be more Gamesworld heavy, though, than this issue...not complaining...which was quite balanced between the girls and the boys. But I want to see the Girls Blow. Shyt. Up!

Who knew Lorna buying a dress and Jean commenting that an institution literally targeting innocent planets and blowing them up for resources=bad was going to spark such a heated political debate. Sheesh.
