I can't wait for this show.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_e83uw38hs
Trailer is amazing.
Hmm... Surprised we got now Legion solo from ResurrXion.
I'm sooooo watching this show. It looks promising. I just pray it gets the advertising that it deserves so people will tune in to watch it
This is some push the X-Men are making

I am definitely on board for this show. more so than the x-men tv show on fox.
I'm here for this. Hopefully it comes on hulu.
Looks awesome! Can't wait!
I'm going to support this unconditionally.
And when the Fox show comes around, I'll do the same for that.
I'm so excited for this*fangirl scream*

Haven't touched my TV in almost a year.
Now's the time.

Looks really mind-binding. It kind of reminds me of that Netflix show, Sense8, which I really like. It's a different kind of comic book show, one that could never air on the CW. I think that's smart. Fox is shooting for an untapped market here. I really hope it works. Agents of SHIELD has gotten so dull and boring. I'm eager for this show to fill the void. :o
Like father like son.

I wonder how long it took them to finish it?
This show looks great, I'd forgotten it was starting this year.

LMAO - brilliant.
‘Legion’ Review: A Stunning, Challenging, Fantastically Human Journey
What makes Legion’s story so compelling (and this is based on Hawley’s interpretation of it — I have not read the comics) is how it expresses itself through the framework of mental illness. The world doesn’t understand David, and he’s diagnosed as schizophrenic at a young age. In many ways the diagnosis does make sense: he’s plagued by a litany of voices, hallucinations, and rage blackouts. He has trouble controlling himself, and picks up a drug habit that helps quiet some of the mental storm. But even though Legion subverts this idea of illness, and instead makes it a power, it doesn’t save him.
Legion plays a lot with themes of identity and memory and emotion, and if the key to visual storytelling is to show and not tell, well, Legion grasps onto that wholeheartedly. But above all, it’s a deeply considered portrait of mental illness. Even if David’s schizophrenia is actually part of a mutant power, it’s also still literally angry voices in his head fighting to control him and his actions. Whatever you want to call it, it’s a problem for his daily life, and something he has struggled with since he was a young boy. The X-Men have always been a stand-in for outsiders, for people who feel persecuted or just different from the rest of the world. David’s journey is Legion is his own, but we’re connected to it, too.

Go man go!
I do admit this sounds more and more interesting....
Oh man we are less than 1 week for the FIRST live action x-men tv,......lets just think that mutant x never happened.

Don't know if it's true but I heard that the villain in your avi will pop up in the show.

Hmm.
Well, we see a fat, disgusting face in Legion's dreams - taunting him, so I suppose it could be ol LITERAL butter-face - MOJO!
Would be cool - but he will then obviously not be anything like in the comics, so then, I gotta' ask, why bother...? If you need the fat, revolting psychic stand-in, then just get Shadow King instead.

OR get ultimate universe mojo who is just a fatman
Finally got to see the pilot. OUTSTANDING!
And the fat, yellow-eyed man was quite the interesting tease. Which leads me to believe David may be in a world within a world so he can be studied further. And manipulated.

How was this?
Is this available online anywhere?

I thought it was a great first episode, it exceeded my expectations. I believe you might be able to watch it on Itunes.

I genuinely didn't make that connection until now!
That was a weird episode... but definitely intrigued to find out more as the season progresses :)
Many characters. I was a bit disappointed that non of the mutants (of the group at the end) were from the X-verse. I was kind of hoping for it. No Moira, no Blindfold, no any other.
Great opening episode!
Yeah, I doubt they'll touch on the x-verse anytime soon. Probably season 2 depending if the rest of the season goes as well.
Great pilot.
Wasn't expecting so many mutants to be introduced so early on.
[spoil] Based on the first episode. I'm certain that everyone helping David escape at the end were all of his other personalities. Seems like Sydney is the Pryokinetic personality renamed from Cyndi, and the psychiatrist is actually Jack Wayne. Although they will probably rename him as well. the telekinetic powers gave it away. It also looks like David was assisted by his inner persona's in escaping what appears to be Muir Island. I need the next episode now! [/spoil]

Were they nameless mutants?
Also TAKE YOUR BET EVERYBODY.
who is the guy with the yellow eyes? obviously my first impression of the fat slob is that it could be Mojo using some kind of disguise but that isnt his style, the other fat slob that fight the x-men is the Shadow King who is known for using disguises to attack and control his enemies.

The mutants were Syd,Kerry Loudermilk,Ptonomy Wallace, and Dr. Melanie Bird they all seem to be original characters. I thought it was Mojo and hope that it is Mojo i think he would be far more interesting in this series than Shadow King imo. Plus if it's MOJO maybe it's a chance we could see Spiral appear at some point.

Check my earlier post. Sydney and the Psychiatrist are probably renamed as a misdirection. But they both technically exist in the comics.

Yeah i get that vibe from Syd. That whole group maybe in the same category.
reposting my post from the tv/film thread:
I enjoyed it, even though I would have liked to have seen more connection to the books. Like there's really no reason why the mutant rescue team at the end couldn't have been c-list x-characters, other than the writer/director didnt want to have to research the comics(do his "homework" so to speak), its much easier(lazier) to just make up your own OCs.
anyway it must have left some kind of subconscious impression on me b/c I dreamt about it last night. I dreamt that David and the two main female leads where spiking the food supply at the hospital and then David becomes a giant and rampages through the town. Lol, whatever.

I lean towards Mojo. Especially the way those interrogators were acting prior to and then at the pool. Like they were being watched by a stronger character, and needed to satisfy his/her expectations in getting answers. Especially right before the whole pool fire scene. That main interrogator was nervous as heck. That felt like the Mojoverse, and everyone questioning the motives of one another.
