I always loved Hook, I still have the VHS somewhere. The sad thing is..given the manner of his death I could not help thinking about his movie "What Dreams May Come" as soon as I heard about this. It's just a surreal movie about the afterlife..

Hook was among my favorites also. Had a nice little What If concept. I also still have the VHS from when I first bought it

The first thing I thought of was him as the genie. But when I remembered Hook my heart sank. I probably watched that a hundred times as a kid. To me that's always been my version of the Peter Pan story.

That was the one movie I actually rooted for Peter Pan.
God, this is just awful news.
Robin Williams was one of the greatest. Most of today's comedies and comic actors can't hold a candle to Robin Williams and his work.
I loved him as the Genie. I loved him in Hook. I loved him in those old Mork & Mindy reruns I used to watch on Nick at Night. Patch Addams hit me in the feels in all the best ways. I seriously don't think I ever saw a performance from him that I didn't love.
Man, this mortality crap sucks!
I thought when I saw this thread, it'd be about JJ Ramsay, from Game of Thrones. Never thought it'd be Robin freaking Willliams of all people.
Is this even real? Why did he do it, or how? Was it about business, family, life, what?
He'd be one of the freaking most energetic people, funniest, alive, or dead.
63 is too young... I can hardly believe a guy I've 'known' since childhood to now is gone.
The legend makes it so that they're immortal, and they cannot, will not die. Can't feel like they're human, or another person. They're just....more.
Man...
