I finished reading the Carlene O'Connor mystery novel Murder at an Irish Wedding.
Aliens Omnibus Volume 1, collecting the novels Earth Hive, Nightmare Asylum, and The Female War. It's a really strange experience reading in novel form stories that I've read for years as graphic novels.
Oh my God, The BFG  James and the Giant Peach was always a favourite of mine too.
I've never actually read James and the Giant Peach oddly enough, I might buy it for when I start reading to my son at night.
I finished reading two cozy mysteries.

In the middle of the novella-like The Ancestral Footstep (1858) on my Kindle. It's an unfinished story by Nathaniel Hawthorne.
Mysteries this week: tomorrow I'll start The Body in the Library (1942), a Miss Marple story by Agatha Christie, while tonight on my Kindle I'll begin The Angel of Terror (1922) by Edgar Wallace.

It was actually not a story, finished or unfinished, but more Hawthorne's musings on how to construct the story. Not essential, but very interesting and entertaining, nevertheless.
The Pyramid (Kurt Wallander Series) - Henning Mankell
Beginning tomorrow, I'll start reading The Lance and the Shield: The Life and Times of Sitting Bull (1993) by Robert M. Utley and, on my Kindle, Anna of the Five Towns (1902) by Arnold Bennett.
I've finally gotten around to starting to read the Diablo II books, I've had them for ages :P
My latest book review printed in Mystery Scene magazine was for Dennis Palumbo's Head Wounds.
Currently reading Rivers of London, the first book in the Peter Grant series by Ben Aaronovitch (he used to write Doctor Who).

Don't do George's Marvellous Medicine - your son might get ideas :p
There is a disclaimer at the beginning, though, just in case: "Warning to Readers: Do not try to make George's Marvellous Medicine yourselves at home. It could be dangerous."
Rick Mayall's reading in the old Jackanory series is great, by the way :)

Oh I'm sure I'd give my son ideas all by myself anyway :p
Continuing the Complete Chronicles of Conan, I finished "The God in the Bowl" yesterday and today started with "The Black Stranger", the last of REH's "longer" (more than 30 pages) Conan stories.
