There are people here who must think that Thunderbolt Ross is a hero for going around pestering that evil Hulk in the desert all the time.
Remember when Red Hulk took it upon himself to try and assassinate Cyclops (unprovoked, mind you) and swiftly got his ass kicked and sent right back home? lmao
Keep in mind events like this don't show every facet of society's opinions, that's why it's wise not to project feelings on how they feel without confirmation.
Academy mutants like X-23?
Man you literally can’t admit you’re wrong. You keep moving the goalposts. At the end of the Avengers Academy/NXM/Generation Hope tie-in, they were free to go anywhere they wanted. And they chose to stay on Utopia. It’ll be much easier admitting you were wrong than arguing a point that’s directly disputed in the books, on-panel

Or JJJ is great for targeting that menace, Spider-Man.
There's some kind of people that are always petrified of any real change of the status quo, even when they think of themselves as progressives. Some of them work for Marvel, some read their books.

If you think about it, Robin Hood is the villain of the story and the Sheriff of Notthingham is enforcing the law.

Cyclops needed to be kicked down to validate Marvel's idea that it's cool that the USA interfere in other countries (as they did in Utopia) when things don't go their way. Except the drones used in AvX had minds of their own (or did they).

Complaining that the country you are invading has children is the time when the Avengers have been more American.

"He wants us to look like the bullies here" said the American millionaire sheathed in a weapon of immense power as he prepared to attack a building full of children in another country.

oh man this panel is hilarious ... I cant believe he'd FORCE them to attack the safe shelter of an endangered race full of children without any warrant what a psycho....its so hard when everyone doesn't just bend to your will without question and you have no choice but to resort to violence :( PR nightmare!!

I was so glad when “sell out Wolverine” was eventually killed.
Man the Avengers get on my nerves. They had an X-men member Storm right there in their team. But rather than use her as an ambassador, an arbiter, a negotiator. They went over her head, assembled the full Avengers force, so Cap could get his needed win. And look good for PR purposes.
They go to Utopia expecting a fight and then as the above panel shows, are surprised.
The Avengers are full of Karen’s.
It’s too bad Reed Richards was the only one to call out Steve on his $&@^%%.
But I’m glad he did.

What change of statu quo? Spiderman is fighting for justice, he isn't planning to undertake a coup.

But he is breaking the law and order of the good citizens of NY.

I'm sure Mr. Fantastic cheats with yoga too. Just look how flexible he is!

He supports the established order… in unusual fashion. Mutants affairs are more politic: the etablished order doesn't suit them.

They didnt go over her head. They had a meeting with all the Avengers, including her and they asked about the Phoenix. Storm chose to run out and leave them before they could even go into any details

I mean..did no one have her phone # to give her a heads up? her own husband was like "um did you guys hear something?"
it's just not fair on her. she probably should have stayed but mutants were barely scraping by in terms of survival . they're suffering serious trauma and there wasn't enough respect for that imo, if any at all
