Uncanny X-Men 303 came out about a month after my mom died. I felt like it was run over by a truck after getting about half way through it.
I'm so sorry. 303 was my first X-Book and it was dark even without a personal trauma.

Yes, UXM #303 was pretty rough. Very sorry for your loss, I can't imagine reading that issue under those circumstances.

There have been moments that made me emotional, like teary eye'd but never anything I'd consider trauma and definitely no nightmares.

Second Coming- Nightcrawler, Hellion, Karma...

The origins of Cable. the baby infected with the techno organic virus, his mum turning into the mad goblin queen to sacrifice him. Apocalypse capturing him. I remember that was traumatising. It all goes back to Sinister and anything with Sinister always creeped me out.

This was definitely nightmare inducing:

JRJR definitely can bring it when it comes to nightmare fuel.
Could be traumatic for fans of Spidey, as well.

Beyonder murdering all the New Mutants. Nowadays, I only get scared at the possibility of another Kiotr emergence.

I've often dreamed of X-Men, BTW, but no nightmares.

That issue where Kitty and Jubilee saw Logan's naked hairy ass.

I think I always felt connected to Rachel Summers as a character, all the trauma she has endured in her life, she is also the ultimate survivor, the last survivor of the 811 X-Men, the last survivor of a genocide perpetuated by the humans against mutants.
It hit me a little hard when she was abandoned by the X-Men to be enslaved by Ahab again a year go and not one X-Man raised a finger to save her afterwards. Her own brother took a long time to look for her because his 1st priority was getting Scott back, so she was left as a hound long enough that idiot Cable lost her to Stryfe. If she hadn't successfully saved herself Cable and X-Force would be dead right now, they actually provided no assistance at all in saving her in the end, she saved them!
