Sad to say you have a valid point; just take a look at the fate of Ben, Kaine, and Mattie (and probably a few more I'm forgetting further proving your point lol).

Spider-girl.
Mayday had a series that ran for over 100 issues, the first marvel female that ever had a series that ran that long, and now... sometimes she gets to appear in Spider-verse stories if she's lucky.

Yeah man she got that glow lol.
I like Miles but lets not act like his creation was some divine vision giving to Bendis. He is at his core a Spider-Man knock off. A popular knock off, but still a knock off just the same. It is not hard to make a knock off of one of the most popular characters in comic history and make it popular, especially if you do the race/gender switch when you create them.
The number of knockoffs who failed to catch on easily disproves this. See Ben Reilly.
-
I like Miles and he deserves the push but very few Spider-knock offs 'didn't catch on'. Mayday Parker had a long running, unbroken ongoing. Ben Reilly and Kaine both had ongoings recently. Venom is now a movie franchise and he also had a long lasting ongoing in the 90's and early 00's and has been on various teams. Jessica Drew is a long running Avenger and had her own ongoing. Even Spider-man 2099 has his own dedicated fanbase.

Maybe Naomi will make a cameo;)

Something just rubs me wrong about seeing the words "playing Race Angle" like using a different race is a gimmick. And not being a different race bring along culture, history, and story opportunities which make you vast different in storytelling from the original character.

To be honest it can be a gimmick sometimes.
Who the F*** is Naomi?
My sentiment exactly.

Oh, yeah, that would be epic. I think she'd make a hell of a live-action Bumblebee.

Yeah that's her bumblebee cosplay. Wondering who else she could play, maybe an original character.

I think her wedding ep with Jimmy was one of the highest rated diva shows so who knows? She already has the look and the glow gimmick for a superhero tho.
