Not sure if MCU. There was a Roxxon building on there but that's it.

That trailer was great......in showing nothing.
Why have such bombastic music when nothing bombastic is happening in the trailer?

Not sure why it wouldn't be
I hope this teaser is just the first episode or two, I don't want a whole slow burn season of them not using their powers. That's what killed Iron Fist's pacing.
The acting looks good and hopefully Cloak's powers will come from the zero matter from Agent Carter.

thats what a teaser trailer is meant to do.

That's all that's needs to be shown for it to connect.

It's not a teaser. The video clearly states it's the official trailer. This is disappointing for a official trailer.
How was it disappointing? It showed the basics of what the show is about, i.e 2 teens from different backgrounds who meet, have some sort of connection/chemistry and powers.
What more did you expect/want to see?
They have powers and I wanted to see them in action. I didn't get that.

Freeform marketing it's not that great. They do stuff like that("trailers" with footage from just the first episodes that are more like long promos) all the time...

And several official trailers don't give away the full plot, several MCU trailers didn't do that. And it's not like this trailer gave us nothing, you can piece together the threads of the first arc simply by watching this trailer and thinking about how it fits chronologically.
The purpose of this trailer seems more to intrigue the audience, which I believe it does tbh.

Apparently only the pilot has actually been filmed so I think the trailer is just be from the first episode.

I don't expect the full plot. I want small glimpses of the exciting stuff to get me interested. It didn't even tease the origin of their powers.
From what I've heard, only the pilot has been films so far. So this is probably all footage from the first episode (and Freeform loves that kind of trailer).
"Oh baby, I'm afraid even if you *do* everything perfectly, I'm gonna lose you."
That's the wham line for me. A Black mom telling her son that is never easy. I appreciate live action Marvel shows maintaining the type of social commentary they've traditionally had in the comics, and it makes sense given Cloak & Dagger's urban stories anyway.
I wasn't expecting much when I first heard of the show (How many Cloak & Dagger fans are there? Honestly?), but now I'm intrigued.

Um, that's kind of the point. To get you interested enough to tune in.
Plus, I'm willing to bet that if you're on this site then you already have a good enough working knowledge of the characters to figure out their origin. And, since that's likely to be part of the initial arc, showing the actual origin would be too much.
