During the Krakoa age, I mean.
Every other previous major mutant villain is either ongoing (Shadow King) or dealt with (Madelyn Pryor).
Especially since she caused The Genoshan massacre.

I mean technically yes like I don't know what she got going on for some reason I thought she was dead. I don't think she's been sought out or anything like that.
Marvel seems to have ignored X-Men: Red, but Cassandra was supposed to have been reformed, at least, until someone removes the nanite sentinel that was re-programmed so Cassandra would experience empathy.

Sought out to be killed?

What else would you do with her?
I think she may not factor very much, now, seeing as how when last we saw her she had a major attitude readjustment thanks to Jean and Trinary. Of which HiX-Man and Co. should be quite aware.
Is she even considered a mutant? Or a mummudrai mimicking mutant traits?
I am bit unclear as to what qualifies, but...

So much was ignored to kick off HoX, a villain only being kept in check because of tiny robots is pretty low on the "but last time we saw them..." shockers. In fact, she is kept in check by tiny robots. Robots.
Then there's that little bit of origin trivia.
Didn’t Emma have her assassinated?

16million years of torture.
Nova got a mention in Rosenberg's run. She was on the list of issues that Cyclops wanted his team of X-men to deal with. We saw him deal with various loose ends issue by issue but the other X-men returned from AOX and we got the 5 month gap before he got to Nova. She presumably is still out there somewhere
Victor LaValle's unannounced X-book will supposedly deal with a big villain who's yet to appear in the Krakoa era... at the time this was first mentioned I immediately thought Cassandra Nova.

Going from adressing the UN, with heroes both mutants and humans behind her:
- Jean: I'd like to show you. A world where no one is left behind. Where no one is shunned. Where no one is less than. No humans and mutants. No us and them. Just "us".
To Krakoa...
I'd say a lot was ignored indeed. Or, at least, not shown to us.
I think the nanite sentinel wasn't the problem, though. The problem was not keeping an eye on Cassandra, knowing how dangerous she can be. Jean showed Cassandra her plan and invited her to be part of it. But no writer decided to try to continue with it. I guess they prefer to keep her as a potential villain.
So yeah, as soon as some writer decides to bring her back in that role, she'll be back.
