LOL, did I say the forum was faster? Back to the slowness and double posts

OK, looks like I was totally wrong--that's far from the cover I was thinking of. My bad.
The one I was thinking of is a much older classic cover--maybe I'll post it after the conclusion of the contest.
We were all thinking of the same cover. IM, to her credit, exercised her comics knowledge and surprised us. Well, me anyway.
I've not had much luck with the Gene Colan covers with the two DD's but here's a more recent one by Paolo Rivera. If you look closely, Daredevil is "reading" the rivets on Doom's mask, which in Braille spells out Doom. Pretty clever by Rivera.

Now I never noticed that on the Paolo Rivera cover. Quite genius!

There are actually two classic DD covers with the two DD gentlemen AND two other classic non-DD covers with both Matthew & Victor ;)

This is going to be a fun post judging period. I look forward to it. I also am learning even as we speak now.

Was going to post the cover to #62 from Vol 2. (picture on my profile, love Maleev); however, recently was able to get a signed copy of this #600 variant cover (by both Adi Granov and Charles Soule) and the art is awesome:

DD has quite a diversity and wealth of covers out there. Going to be tough

There's quite a few Frank Miller & David Mazzucchelli covers that I thought would have been posted......

Okay... then if it's not too late I'll post one of those Doom covers by Colan everybody is thinking about... ;)

(Obviously smaller than on the site I picked it from... Comicbookdb is still not avaible for us EU citizens...)
Edit : thanks a lot to Rob Allen and the Captain for the help... I'll use those other sites! :)

Side note on this cover - I prefer it when Doom's eyes and the area around them appear as flawless through the mask. Lots of artists make the eye area out to be disfigured, which misses the point of the mask I think.

This was the cover I was thinking of. :)

There are times when I am tempted to say that Gene Colan did the best Silver Age Doom but I don't want to diss the King for coming up with the design in the first place.
But Gene Colan + Tom Palmer inking is tough to beat.....the eyes have it.

It came down to two covers form very different eras of ole hornhead, but in the end, Mazzuchelli edged out Wally Wood, so Shalla Bal is runner up and my vote goes to...
Enigmatic Undead.
