DC is going to release a series of one-shots in the run-up to the Black Adam movie's release. Each one is going feature one of the JSA characters that'll appear in the movie.
The first one up is Hawkman, which will be titled "Black Adam–The Justice Society Files: Hawkman #1" and releases Tuesday, July 5th.
I'm excited for the Atom-Smasher one-shot and the Doctor Fate one-shot, though I admit I don't have high expectations for movie tie-ins, but they'll still give me a feel for the movie's take on the characters (and tone)
While I will probably watch the movie at some point, I have zero interest in reading movie synergy characters.

Man, I'm so starved for Doctor Fate content that the one-shot has to be pretty bad for me to not want to read it.

Ops, accidently replied to a post I had already commented on. Sorry.
Peace

I wish they would release this story digitally. I've been dying to read it for a few years now.

My first recollection of meeting many of the JSA. Definitely Starman and Mr. Terrific. I might have read the JSA before, quite sure I did, I remember I was not confused by the existence of a JSA, instead of a JLA and the whole Earth 2 thing, but this is one of my strongest first impressions.
Peace

The first one-shot Black Adam: The Justice Society Files - Hawkman #1 is currently scheduled for July 5th.
Synopses for Hawkman's issue and its backup:
[spoil]Long ago, Hawkman was the leader of the Justice Society, but what is he now? Still a hero, or another relic in a museum? Everything changes when he finds himself haunted by not only the past, but also the vengeful spirit of a wayward thief. Will this Gentleman Ghost be the death of Hawkman or will he deliver a warning from beyond the grave? The road to Black Adam begins here.
Also in this issue: As a pivotal moment in the life of Teth-Adam and his son Hurut begins to unfold in ancient Kahndaq, modern-day Kahndaq meets a new hero - antiquities professor by day, “cultural recovery specialist” by night, Adrianna Tomaz. And unfortunately for Adrianna, she’s about to “liberate” a sacred totem from the wrong interested party - Intergang![/spoil]
The second one-shot Black Adam – The Justice Society Files: Cyclone #1 is currently scheduled for August 2th.

Synopses for Cyclone's issue and its backup:
[spoil]When she was young, Maxine Hunkel dreamed of flying with the Justice Society. Now she finally has the powers and the opportunity…but will she say yes? Guest-starring Hawkman on the road to Black Adam!
Plus, continuing the Teth-Adam backup story: trouble hits home for Adrianna Tomaz as Intergang mercenaries invade the hallowed halls of her university, on the hunt for the sacred totem she “liberated”—but what strange metal is the idol made from, and why does Intergang need it so badly?[/spoil]

The story in Adventure Comics #461 and #462 would have run in All Star Comics #75 if that title hadn't been cancelled (as part of the "DC Implosion").

I bought #459 - 466 of Adventure Comics for the Flash stories, but the JSA stuff was great fun!! No spoilers, but the death of a major character that was really well done.

which was then used to explain why the Justice Society of America stopped operating back in 1951.
