Yep, my favorite part of the issue.
While I don’t really mind Kid Cable, i can certainly understand why others have a problem. He murdered a fan-favorite and now gets to run around with no consequences?

That's very true.
Kid Cable reads nothing like he should. Even at 18 he was battling the Cannites and Stryfe while time travelling to ancient Egypt as the Traveller. His personality was never just a dumb teenager.
What happened to him returning to Aliya? He just forgot and decided to stay in the past. Ridiculous!
As for Old man Cable, he seems to be in hell or Limbo and will most likely cross paths with Belasco, Symm, or Madelyne is my guess.
You're saying Sinister claimed Stinger was the first mutant pregnancy despite not knowing whether the unborn baby was a mutant or not? And that others thought Jean/Emma might be pregnant first despite..Stinger already being pregnant and 'ready to pop' (as you said earlier)?
I don't fully understand what you think he's saying in the comic, but you seem to feel strongly about it so agree to disagree.
First to cross the finish line definitely sound like that (and why else would sinister even care about stinger?) but, yeah sure, it could have been written like that just to ‘imply’ and create more interest in this arc. Misleading ‘solicits’ aren’t exactly uncommon, lol.

Agreed. 100%. It’s... strange. But a lot of characters aren’t really acting like themselves these days on Krakoa, so I think there’s a big plot twist coming down the road which could explain that.

Now that could be really fun and would make me pick this book up again!
I like Kid Cable, but I remember how I wanted for Cyclops to come back from the dead and beat Teen Cyclops to death during the X-Men dark years (terrigen mist, Cyclops=Hitler, etc), so I understand the pain of OG Cable fans.
But at least Kid Cable don't expend every panel he is in talking shit about the older version, like the crap teenage Cyclops did.
I would be fine with Kid Cable if he acted at all like how 18 year old Nathan would. The problem is we have already seen Nathan at this age in the Askani'son mini series. If you are gonna sell us on the idea that hes just Cable but younger then he should match up to the version that has already been established.
He doesnt even match up to the cold calculating angry kid from Extermination either. Hes been turned into a dumb child. Also, he told Aliya he would make sure Rachel was safe and then would come back to her. Instead hes dating a Cuckoo and slumming it on Krakoa. At least try and make him likeable.
I think the angle of "All my life I have had to be a soldier and now in Krakoa for the first time I can relax and be a young idiot" is interesting.
Yeah, that personality shift happened so suddenly that it seems jarring. Which is why I think there’s another shoe to drop re: Krakoa and everyone acting so weird. Especially someone like Cable, kid version or otherwise.
