The comparison is...
Apocalypse -Horsemen
Thanos -Black Order
...not that they have the same story/character arc. But yeah, they're nothing alike as far as characters.
I think it's more like a parallel.
Infinity was the first hickman avengers event where thanos came to the earth to kill one of his children, XoS is the first event of his X-men run, and Apocalypse wants to reunite and save his children.
I think Hickman, Thanos, Black Order = Hickman, Apocalypse, Apoc’s kids
Except that the Horsemen are actually interesting to me, while the Black Order are so, so not. :)
(Well, except the telekinetic dude. The rest were boring. "Ooh, I have a fancy-named spear, and it's McGuffin-y and awesome and I can't shut up about it, and it will never, ever do anything noteworthy because I'm a flunky to the main attraction and not allowed to kill or maim any named character by the narrative..." Yawn. Whole lotta hat. Not very much cat.)
But those first Horsmen, woo! You had me at Egyptian-stylings. Those designs are nice.
I'm also here for cool mutant powers, and like that nobody's mutant power is likely to be 'I have a pointy slashy stabby thing and I'll flail around failing to hit anybody with it for two panels before the real threat arrives, 'cause I'm just the fluffer to get you hyped for the main event.'

Infinity wasn't the greatest event, but i very clearly remember Proxmia destroying both Hulk and Marvel with her fancy staff of mcguffin.
But yeah, the Horsemen are very Hickman Black order.
or to be more specific, they're very Hickman East of West Horsemen. Like super East of West Horsemen (They even talk like them.)

Proxima and Corvus were pure badasses. And they did kill in the story.

Ebony Maw is the only correct answer, even before being so awesome in the movies.
...and I think we've strayed far from the original thread topic... :(
